no it wont hurt you at all. think of all the paces soap can get into scabs and such (as gross as that may seem.) if it can go there then it can sertainly go in your belly button because tahts kind of like a healing bruise also. if it wanst safe then the FDA wouldent have let teh company release it and if you still have your doubts then just wash it out with an unscented soap.

dear piercing,

no, i don't think having a scent to it will hurt your belly button, but i also think you should talk to someone like the person who pierced your bellybutton. i suggest you should also use a different soap, i am not very sure what kind but like i said, ask the person who pierced it. They will probably know how to clean it and what to clean it with...

hope i helped

Hi =) Congrats on your piercing, my belly button is one of my favorites. What I did and would suggest is to use sea salt. I'm assuming you got it pierced at a professional place, so the piercer should of given you sea salt. However, if they didn't, never fear. Take 1/8 of a teaspoon to 8 oz. water and mix it up, put it on a cotton ball & soak it. That'll clean it and prevent it from getting infections. If you want to use the soap however, use Provon or Dial. Either will work just as well, I just prefer the sea salt because it's easier LOL. If you don't have sea salt (don't use normal table salt, it's to strong, you can get sea salt at Wal*Mart), then contact lense cleaner will work well also. Good luck & enjoy your piercing! If you have more questions, drop me a line in my inbox.
