I recently had sex for the first time (about a month ago) and since then I've needed to pee an unusual amount. And when I do pee, it can really hurt. I now have trouble controlling when I need to pee too. Like, the second I get home from school I have to run to the toilet or I'll like pee myself. It's so embarrassing. The other night I even peed while in bed and got really freaked out. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME?!
ask_us answered Wednesday October 20 2004, 6:07 am: i am sorry to say but you have probably caught a sexually transmitted disease! go to your local clinic and seek help! your symptoms sound like clymadia. Watch out next time, and if you have had sex over the past month with another person tell them to get help to!
next time use protection

Karen answered Tuesday October 19 2004, 3:38 pm: From what I have read, it sounds like you have an URI (Urinary Tract Infection)! It can easily be cured if you go to the doctors and get prescribed antiboitics! Don't wait and not go to the doctors or the UTI will cause problems! Hope I helped :) [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
silentkate answered Tuesday October 19 2004, 1:30 pm: Sounds like a urinary tract infection. Sexual intercourse is a common cause of urinary tract infections. Go see your doctor, if it's an urinary tract infection it can be easily treated with antibiotics. [ silentkate's advice column | Ask silentkate A Question ]
MelikoDee answered Tuesday October 19 2004, 1:05 pm: I'm sure this is something you don't want to hear, but you need to go to a gynocologist. It's possible that you may have a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection). It happens, but you have to approach this like an adult and get your appointment to a gyno ASAP. If you are mature enough to have sex, you have to learn to be mature enough to face the consequences and results.
Don't worry too much though. If you do have a UTI, you will be prescribed anti-biotics.
Also, go on google.com and search about Kegel's exercises. They're wonderful exercises you can do down there, which will strengthen the pelvic muscles. [ MelikoDee's advice column | Ask MelikoDee A Question ]
Either way, this can only be fixed with anti-biotics; you'll want to make an appointment with your doctor ASAP as this'll only get worse if untreated.
You'll want to be upfront with your doctor and let him/her know it could have resulted from sex - your doctor will be able to offer advice to prevent it from happening in the future, and will NOT tell your parents about your sexual history. It's confidential.

mikeyblue81 answered Tuesday October 19 2004, 10:02 am: Sounds like you could have a urinary tract infection. It's not altogether uncommon after having sex, especially for females. These infections can get serious and if you're not feeling better soon, you really should get yourself checked out by a doc. [ mikeyblue81's advice column | Ask mikeyblue81 A Question ]
