I had braces for about a year and a half. It dosnt hurt when you get them taken off, it just feels wierd. Especially when its all over, your teeth are slimy and your lips feel wierd getting used to not being ontop of your braces anymore. The only thing that irritated me was scraping off that glue stuff that held on the brackets. And I just remember my back teeth being sore after getting those metal things off of them that held the braces together. But Ive heard different stories from everyone. Everyone is different. Hope this helped and have fun with your new smile. :D

What i remember about when i got my braces off is my swollen gums!! they felt like they were over my teeth. and it takes a while for the swelling to go down. but no, it does not hurt. it actually feels great! to run your tongue over your teeth and not have it get caught on metal? its hella awesome! and congrats to your beautiful new smile!!

How much it hurts depends on your own pain tolerance. Mine, didn't hurt at all when I got them off. It does feel a tiny bit like they're trying (not very hard) to pull your teeth out. Mind you, the pulling is just getting the bands off the back teeth, the rest with just the brackets don't hurt at all. Beware the sound of the metal tools scraping at your teeth though, as well as the next dentist appointment being LONG as they try to remove all the excess cememnt the orthodontist DIDN'T get off. But really, it's all worth it, to get them off and not have to worry about what you can eat.

Yes it does hurt, don't let anyone tell you it doesn't. Your teeth are also sore for a few days and it feels really weird after they take them off. I would take some tylenol or something. It does not hurt anymore then having them put on though. Enjoy your *new* teeth!

It depends on who you have. Mine didn't hurt one bit!! The lady that did mine was so nice and so gentle and they just popped right off. I didn't feel a thing, so no, It doesn't hurt.
Don't be scared, just be really really excited about it!!

Nope, it doesn't hurt at all... unless of course you're weak and everything hurts you. I can't really say what they do because I was half asleep when they took mine off but one part that is really uncomfortable is they sand down your teeth which is REALLY weird and it kinda hurts but it's just like a weird vibrating feeling in your gums. Hope this helped.
