Basketball Question i play basketball really good but i need to improve in getting faster. Does anyone have a clue of what i can do to maybe improve in getting faster?

First start running long distances to build up your endurance then run sprints. Every few days make the sprints longer until it is at least a mile. ]
Practice all the time and work out. Do crunches, eat healthy, excercise 2/3 times a week for a half an hour period. Practice a ton, practicing anything helps you improve.

talk to the track coach or run like everyday like 2 miles and get yourself to run faster everyday like start out walking and then get faster everyday ]
try running fastest or go to your regular doctor and get some pills that you could take or drink good drinks and eat vegetables excerise doesn't mean just basketball do other stuff to help your body to impove in running faster! ]

Ok, if you know what ladders are (also called suicide..) try doing those. Also, id messure out an area about the size of a basketball court and give ur self a time limit to sprint from baseline to baseline...start with 10 seconds...do it 3 times..then drop it to 9 seconds..do it 3 times and so on. This is what my bball coach has us do. If you know what intervals are try those. If you want more explanation feel free to leave ur questions in my inbox. ]
ok what i would do to get fast is i would start sprinting and have a friend time you goin around like a few streets starting from your house and then doing that and that will probably get you in better shape and test your lungs so you will be able to run faster hope this helps!! good luck!! ]
Well, if your coach has made you do running drills, then I guess you've done suicide runs. If not then I'm SURE you've at least heard of them. Practice doing sucide runs 2-3 times a day and trying to beat your score. If you have a weight room at your school they might have a tredmil so you can practice your running on there. Whatever you do, always try to keep running. Even if you feel tired start to jog but keep the pace going, don't stop your legs from moving. Also, have either water or gatorade with you to drink. I prefer Gatorade but it's your choice. Hope this helped. ]

u need to try side stepping. the football players do it they run and move their feet in front and in back of eachother. if u dont know wat i mean then if u have a pool try running around in the pool. it is extremely hard but if u do it a lot then it will strengthen your legs. also lift wieghts with your legs. lay down on the floor on your back and then lift your legs up into the air off the ground at about 6 inches off the floor. then hold them their for as long as u can. do that every day and that should strengthen your legs and make you go faster. hope i helped ]
