Health& Fitness Question

Question Posted Saturday October 2 2004, 4:28 pm

I have heard about the 5 small meals a day diet. I'm not sure about what would be good to eat for it. I really only want to do this to stay healthy. I am also trying to be more healthy by stretching, walking for about 30 minutes a day, and doing other exercises. Do you think I should do any of this? I am 13, 5'2 and 115 lbs.

Thanks for the feedback :-), I'm glad you liked my advice!!

There's nothing wrong with excercising, as long as you don't over do it. Walk for 30 minutes a day, and for the whole 5 meal per day thing, Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner, and then one snack between breakfast and lunch (during the summer)
But since you have school, and probably can't eat snack at school, then make it an after school snack, like a cut up apple, and dunk it in peanut butter(REALLY good) or a banana, or something REAL healthy, then have one or 2 servings of dinner, then maybe an hour or so before bed, have something, and then before bed have some water, and after 5pm, NO sweets unless it's something in your dinner

YOU yourself don't really need to follow that, because you are a PERFECT weight, actually you'd still be a good weight if you gained 5 pounds (not saying you should) So really, unless you feel really insecure, then don't follow this.

And no matter if you're underweight, overweight, or just fine, walking everyday is a GREAT way to keep healthy, just make sure you have water with you.

I was going to say something else, but I forgot, so if I think of it, I'll add it in later.

Good Luck, like I said, you don't need to do any of this, it's just a good way to stay healthy, or to get healthy.

i say go for it. there's nothing wrong with exercising every day. and studies have shown that eating 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 large, keeps your metabolism moving a lot faster and constantly keeps food in your stomach as fuel.

You should forget about the 5 small meals a day and eat regular. But exercise everyday. You are the right weight and to stay healthy, just eat what you want and when your about to get full, stop eating. And exercise!
