there is this one kid who i started liking, because we have alot in common, we listen to the same music, dress the same, and i assumed he liked me too because of the way he smiles at me, and plus we're going to a show together. well yesterday he told my best friend that he likes HER, which doesnt even make sense because she's not even his type. and she doesnt even like him back. i'm so confused cause i had no clue that he likes her. but my best friend still thinks theres hope that he could start liking me, but it just doesnt make sense. ps, he doesnt know that i like him, so should i tell him?

Well I think it's kind of wrong that you said she's not his type. Becuase people aren't always attracted to people that are just like them! And if your friend has no interest in him then you don't have anything to worry about having an argument over him or something. But it may be a little weird in the future if he does start liking you because you're gonna constantly be thinking 'oh he likes my friend better anyway so what's the point' i had the same situation when this guy liked me but he liked my friend better so i gave up on him. well maybe you should wait until he is over your friend and then tell him, if you still wanna go for it. *Kacie*

I think you should tell him how you feel.Be like listen i dont want this to change our friendship if you dont feel the say way and them let him know, or have of yours or his ask him about who he likes and bring your name up into the conversation.He could feel the same way you do, you'll never know unless you find out.Hope i helped and he likes ya.

Boys can be soo confusing! I hate to bring bad news, but have you ever heard opposites attract? Just because your very similar doesn't mean he wants a girl just like him, because it would be boring, itd be like having your self around all the time. I mean you and your bestfriend are really differnt but your still Best Friends, See? HOWEVER that may not be the case, he MIGHT have told your friend that, knowing it would get back to you, to see how you reacted, if you were jealous or not. Boys minds can be crazy. If you feel there might still be a chance, tell him how you feel, but dont go on and on and on, as us girls tend to do. Wait till after the movie, see if he flirts or not, that would give you a good idea, on how he feels.

Wow...so similar. One of my best friends i like, too...and he doesnt know. Well, i've thought about you know..while talking..sinse you are friends..be like "So..would you ever consider us a couple?" or something of the sort. Because the longer you dont tell him, the more he has no idea of your feelings.

yea that is really weird. If you feel that you should tell him even though he told his best friend that he likes her then go for it. that acutally could be a good idea because maybe he really does like u too but he felt that it would b akward if he told you first. But it also mite b a good idea to wait a few days and see if n e thing starts with ur best friend and him even though i doubt b/c she probably can't start liking him in a secod, if she doesn't rite now. So either option i think should work, sorry if that was confusing lol but hope i helped :)

First of all, how do you know what his type is? To me it sounds like you hardly know him. If you like him, just tell him. The show you are going to together is a perfect opportunity to do it.
