ButterflyKisses52 answered Saturday September 25 2004, 4:24 pm: I know how you feel! That has happened to me before. Ok so take your dog outside, on a leash or something if he isnt already and outside dog, and take him to the grass and just brush and brush. Its the best thing you can do unless you want to call a vet and ask. [ ButterflyKisses52's advice column | Ask ButterflyKisses52 A Question ]

MoonFisher answered Monday September 20 2004, 11:04 pm: Get a shedding tool from the local pet store and use it on the dog as soon as his fur starts looking clumpy, which is when he is preparing to shed. This will pull off most of the excess fur for him and make him more comfortable. [ MoonFisher's advice column | Ask MoonFisher A Question ]
selectopaque answered Monday September 20 2004, 6:32 pm: For a short haired dog here's what you should do. Take a towel, wet it down a bit, and scrub your dog. Do this once a day every day for about ten-thirty minutes each time.
One of the many responsabilities of owning and dog is brushing and grooming them when needed. Even short haired dogs need to be brushed. Try bringing him to a groomers and tell them that he's been shedding a lot. When they give him a bath, they will get all of the hairs loose, so they just need to be brushed off for a couple days and by then his coat should be done shedding until the next shedding season comes around. I don't know how often beagles shed, but you could find it easily enough online. Try this website www.akc.org and search by breed name. (Beagle is under B) :) [ selectopaque's advice column | Ask selectopaque A Question ]
xXxpinky615xXx answered Monday September 20 2004, 5:57 pm: well there really is nothing you can do to prevent the shedding but what you can do to decrease the amount of fur coming off of him is brush him at least twice a day and it will get the majority of the loose fur off of him so there won't be hair all over the place. Moop answered Monday September 20 2004, 5:57 pm: have you tried brusing him more of with a different brush? possibly taking him once a month or so to the groomers?
shedding is natural. your dog would probably complain if s/he petted you and you shedded (and you probably shed worse). [ Moop's advice column | Ask Moop A Question ]
