osiris-kitty answered Sunday September 19 2004, 2:19 pm: Honey, you don't -need- to diet. Dieting is for people who can't stand the way they look because of today's public model image, but even then, they don't need it. You're only fat if you weigh 20,000 lbs. But you don't, so stop dieting, because it hardly ever works. Hoorah for no carbs...anyways, you could become anorexic. I know what happens during anorexia and it's not pretty.
I guess if you're really desperate, I would say stick to vitamins and veggies. Sushi is pretty good, too, and slim-fast helped out my mom. Whatever you do, though, DON'T use diet pills. Since humans are mostly water, the pills suck out some water weight, and that makes you dehydrated and that means diarrhea. [ osiris-kitty's advice column | Ask osiris-kitty A Question ]
~*Annie*~ answered Sunday September 19 2004, 1:36 pm: Okay sweetie, one thing you might want to know: Bread contains carbohydrates, which are really good for you. This is how it works: bread, pasta, cereal, and other grain foods contain carbohydrates, which is great if you exercise. When you exercise, your carbohydrates burn off (along with calories), then the saturated fats burn off after the carbs burn off. So that is how you lose weight. It's great if you cut down on carbs, but don't stop eating bread altogether, because if there is no carbs to burn off when you exercise, the fat won't burn off either (if your goal is to lose weight or something like that). Don't eat white bread (i.e. Wonderbread, or any other white bread). Eat the kinds of breads that are good for you. Try eating Natural Ovens Bread; it tastes really good toasted and with peanut butter on top. Or eat any other whole wheat bread. If you absolutely hate whole wheat bread, go for the Natural Ovens "Better White" bread, it's a LOT better for you than regular white bread (available at grocery stores, but definately at Jewel Osco). Don't eat a ton of carbs, just eat a few. And whatever you do, be very healthy :) hope I helped >>rate me to tell me how much i helped please:) [ ~*Annie*~'s advice column | Ask ~*Annie*~ A Question ]
Notso answered Sunday September 19 2004, 1:35 pm: you need carbs such as bread for your brain to work. Try cutting out foods you don't need like junk food, or eating a balanced diet, with something from every food group. Or switch to a healthier alternative, like go from white bread to whole wheat. 2daredvils answered Sunday September 19 2004, 1:17 pm: don't kill yourself because you want to look like a model. but here are some tips anyway, everyday do crunches, twenty in the morning, twenty in the afternoon and twenty at night. plus, you can still eat bread, just NOT WHITE. white bread is one of the worst things you can eat. try eating wheat bread, it is much better for you. if you hate wheat bread, try having a sandwhich on a bagel. yummm!!! good luck!
hope i helped
