DruidX answered Thursday September 16 2004, 10:55 am: Generally all windows distros have their shut down options in the bottom of the start menu. I don't know if you can do this with windows, but most Linux based desktop environments have a plugin for the task bar so one can shut down like that. mshonest4eva answered Tuesday September 14 2004, 2:09 pm: if you press alt+F4, then it automatically brings you to the shut down mode- but only if you arre on your desktop. if u r in a program, itll shut down the program
