Hey, i am 15 and weigh 150 lbs. I'm not "fat" but i feel that way. I dont look it or anything, but i have no idea where the weight is going. I have been taking birth control for like 4 months, and that might be the reason for gaining all this weight, but i dont know how to get rid of some weight. I have tried the south beach diet, i dont eat that much.... never really have, i drink only diet drinks since forever, but i still dont know why i am gaining all this weight. It worries me a lot... Hopefully you can help.. thanks
MoonFisher answered Saturday October 9 2004, 9:33 pm: You have the same problem I do. The only way I can lose weight is to excercise. Don't buy into those fad diets, they're crap. Just eat healthier foods and join a school sport. I played tennis and ran track and it kept me slender. As soon as I graduated *POP* fat girl city. You gotta move. Birth control (I'm assuming the pills is what you're on) are the devil when it comes to gaining weight!! ARRG!! They make you retain water so it makes you look big and gain weight. With the ones I was on, I put on 5 pounds in 5 days. I was like, WHOA!!
I'm with the others, I've heard Diet soda is worse than regular, which is crazy LOL.
I don't eat much either and it's actually really bad for you because your body has to work harder and it makes you gain more.. isn't life confusing??
SoNuLiCiOuSsS answered Saturday October 2 2004, 11:15 pm: it most likely is birth control... sometimes people gain weight cuz their not eating enuff... i dont know how to explain it to well... talk to ur doctor about it... [ SoNuLiCiOuSsS's advice column | Ask SoNuLiCiOuSsS A Question ]
Pixiemagic14 answered Saturday October 2 2004, 10:41 pm: well i knew this girl who took birth controls and it made her huge and as soon as she stopped taking it the weight went away. Maybe you can stop taking the birth controls that your taking now and switch to one that won't add weight gain as a side effect. [ Pixiemagic14's advice column | Ask Pixiemagic14 A Question ]
S_C answered Saturday October 2 2004, 10:33 pm: most likely it's the birth control, I don't have much to say that will help, but get off the dies drinks, My 7th grade teacher said her gyno said that diet drinks are actually worse for anybody under the age of 20, than regular drinks.
Sherry answered Saturday October 2 2004, 10:31 pm: It probably is the birth control. If you want to lose the weight, then get off it..if not just try to eat healthy, ignore junk foods sometime..and exercise. Good luck. [ Sherry's advice column | Ask Sherry A Question ]
