Magenta answered Monday September 13 2004, 2:02 pm: You cut, people notice, they ask. It's a fact, and aside from coming up with some great excuses, there's nothing you can do. I'm sorry, it sucks, but these people care about you and that's why they ask. Sorry. [ Magenta's advice column | Ask Magenta A Question ]

i had this problem. now my mom just makes comments like, "i can't trust you with ANYTHING sharp." or "yeah lauren has a bunch of scars."
Christine answered Friday September 3 2004, 8:57 pm: well you should just come out and confront your mom. tell her its your body and you want to do what you want to do. Tell her straight out that you dont want questioned n e more and just to drop the whoole subject. Same with your friends. They have no right to be budding into your business.
