Siren_Cytherea answered Wednesday September 1 2004, 11:07 pm: Well, when I put eyeliner on my top lid, I usually take my index finger and pull the corner out so my eye almost closes, but not quite, then I concentrate on getting the liner on my lashes instead of my lid. If you do that, the line will be thinner.
For my bottom lid, I pull it down so that red part shows, and concentrate on getting that liner on my lid, and partially on my lashes.
If your lashes are black, use black liner. If not, wear a color that matches your lashes, if you can find one. Hope this helped!

SammyPie answered Wednesday September 1 2004, 10:12 pm: You do not sound pathetic at all. I promise you that. Some people have problems with certain things, and yours happens to be eyeliner (thats better than having trouble tying your shoes.) *smiles* I put eyeliner on my bottom lid only, because I think if its on both, then it looks over done. You just outline your eyelid, right against your lash line so it blends in. And if it still looks too heavy, then take your finger and smudge it a little. This makes your eyes look more naturally enhanced.

Ask_Anything answered Wednesday September 1 2004, 9:47 pm: some people have trouble with the whole eyeliner thing - dont be ashamed ;)... first off, when you wanna try to put it on and you havent done it for a long time- try putting it on during the weekend or a time where you can just test it without being in a hurry [as opposed to school mornings].
BEFORE APPLYING:
If you're using a pencil: Sharpen the tip enough to produce a line to your liking. If too sharp, you can blunt the tip by drawing on a tissue.
If you're using a liquid: Barely moisten the brush, then dip just its tip into the liner. Test the line; adjust fluid amount accordingly.
APPLYING:
when you apply it try to pull the outside corner of your eye a little so it stretches the eyelid flat. then [depending on your eyes] slowly go along the outside edge of your eye- get as close to the lid as possible without poking yourself... that hurts. lol. remove any excess eyeliner you dont want with a tissue/cottonball or whatever. practice a few times doing different thicknesses and such... just takes practice! good luck! ask your mom for help if you still are having trouble :)! =] -ask_anything [ Ask_Anything's advice column | Ask Ask_Anything A Question ]

By your eye on top of the bottom eyelash theres going to be this this line on skin right by your eye. Thats where you put it on. Just take the stick and glide the stick on top in the skin. Thats the best i can do. If your still confused ask your mom or a friend. Oh and blue eyeliner looks good with blue eyes ;) [ o0psychicwish0o's advice column | Ask o0psychicwish0o A Question ]
