I don't understand the columnist? Am I a columnist and if I'm not how can I be one? I'm just totally confused about this whole thing.

A columnist is someone who has their own advice column to answer people's questions-just like me and the other people answering this. To be one, all you have to do is click on the link on the homepage that says 'become a columnist' or 'join advicenators' or something like that.

after you answer 5 questions you are an official columnist

A columnist is someone who answers questions that others have on this site. You can answer anyones question you like by clicking on View Questions on the left hand side of the screen under "give advice"..and after you answer 10 questions, you are automatically listed in the "browse columnists" category, meaning you are listed officially as an advice giver on this site so then ppl can write to you personally asking for your help.
