Does anyone know of any side effects of the Birth Control Patch? The pill makes me sick, the shot made me gain 50 pounds and took away the urge, and I really want something that is low maintenance.
Other side effects associated with patches are relatively minor and may include:
Minor skin irritation at the application site
Headaches
Breast tenderness
Irregular vaginal bleeding
Moderate weight gain
Nausea and vomiting
Bloating
If you smoke or have high blood pressure, breast or uterine cancer, a history of blood clots, uncontrolled diabetes or a history of heart attack or stroke, don't use birth control patches.

maybe your doctor could try to prescribe a different pill for you. my friend and i were both on the same one and i had no side effects, but it made her really sick to her stomach so she tried about 3 different types until she found one that worked for her.
good luck! [ bella627's advice column | Ask bella627 A Question ]
