1. We have only guitarist (myself) and a bassist (my friend.)...how can i find out if anyone is a drummer?
2. I'm kind of nervous to play guitar in front of people...and possibly sing if anyone thinks i'm any good....how do i get over my stage fright?

practice playing in front of an audience!!! it always gets u used to things. and to find a drummer go to a local music store that teaches drums and put up notices saying u r looking for a drummer. good luck! ]
1. My friends are in a band and they needed help finding a drummer as well. One idea I thought of is you could possibly... make flyers of the requirements of what you want your drummer to be like. You could post the flyers around in your school, guitar center, neighborhood.
2. I think you should play guitar and sing in front of you close friends and ask them honestly what they think. Anyhow, just go out there and go for it. Just rock out with your cock out!!! Muhahaha. ;]
Good luck, kid. ]
1. put in ur profile that u want a drummer, tell ur friends to ask for u...thats how my band got one
2, have pretend concerts for just ur friends..it might help u get used to a crowed ]
1. if you want to find out if anyone is interested in being a drummer put up signs in your school and ask around
2. if your nervous about being in front of people, dont be, trust me everybody in the world is nervous like that, you cant think that your the only one and you need to be more confident in yourself..and say to yourself that you CAN sing and that you CAN play guitar so you know your good! :) xoxo ]
1. you could put flyers up saying that your looking for a guitarist and put somewhere they can contact you and you can meet with them and see how they play
2. practice in front of a small audience like your friends and family a couple of times or more and maybe that will get you over your fear
hope i helped!! ]
1) put off flyers advertising your band with tear off numbers on the bottom for interested ppl
2) start off small ~ gigs in front of friends and stuff like that and then suck it up and go for it -- you can't possibly be the worst singer an audience has ever heard, so what's there to lose?? besides, i'm sure you're awesome! ]
Hey!Well on the first question here is a option.. Local bands in my town that are looking for members (like drummers and stuff) make flyers and put them up in music stores, skate parks, just anywhere where there are a lot of teens that MIGHT play a instrument or sing or somethin..I see the banners all the time!I really think that'd help..And for the second question..I don't really think there is any way i can tell you how to get rid of stage fright..I could say "imagine everyone wearing underwear" but for me that just makes me crack up and look like a fool so I am just gonna say start singing and playin ur family, then show your friends, and grandually make the group of people your playin and singin for larger! That will help your stage fright too!Believe me you'll get used to it! But on first gigs and stuff theres always a LITTLE bit of stage fright..theres no way to get rid of that sorry..I hope I helped...It depends on where ya live lol cuz I play the drums..but im a girl but im good cuz i've played for 5 years. But yeah..hope ya find someone and GOOD LUCK!!lemme kno how it all works out!!!
.:tasha:. (any more ?'s just ask!) ]
best bet is to just ask around... other thoughts are to put up a flyer of some sort asking for drummers to contact you - make sure you mention how long you've been playing and what styles you're looking for. Many music stores will let you post flyers like that - while you're there check out other flyers, sometimes individuals will advertise themselves, so you might just find a drummer looking for a band.
regarding stage fright - just keep practicing, and slowly start inviting friends to listen while you practice... maybe play in a garage with the door up so people just passing by can see, but aren't necessarially watching you.. this way you slowly get used to people watching and listening without being thrust in front of a crowd. Other thoughts are to not look at the whole audience, or just focus on one or two people - or look past the audience, right over their heads. Usually when I'm playing, I'm so into the music that I don't even notice the crowd anyway. ]
