ButterflyKissxx3 answered Friday August 6 2004, 12:54 pm: Kidney stones are stones inside your kidneys lol. They're really small, they kinda look like small pebbles. You can tell if you have them if you have pains in your kidney area, if you think you have them you should go to a doctor immediatley. Hope I helped! <3 [ ButterflyKissxx3's advice column | Ask ButterflyKissxx3 A Question ]
MFS answered Friday August 6 2004, 12:13 pm: stones can be tiny little grains of sand to large rocks that cannot be excreted... Really big stones get lodged in the kidneys, causing the excruciating pain that most people associate with having stones.
Most of the time, if you produce small grains, you'll pee them out and ever even know.
Sarashimi answered Friday August 6 2004, 12:08 pm: Kidney Stones are really small roundish things that are made of mineral salts.
You know if you have them when you get these symptoms. (Sometimes they are no symptoms though)
-Acute renal colic (severe colicky flank pain radiating to groin, scrotum, labia)
-Nausea, vomiting
-Restlessness (tryng to find comfortable position to ease the pain)
-Dull pain (ill-defined, lumbar, abdominal, intermittent pain)
-Urgency (urge to empty the bladder)
-Frequency (frequent urination)
-Gross hematuria (blood in urine visible to naked eye, usually there is pain)
-Fever (when complicated by infection)
I think if you two of these symptoms you should probably see a doctor.
