Hope This Helpz! Good Luck! God Bless! Beeyes! ~1ne~ [ Thickbabyie4u's advice column | Ask Thickbabyie4u A Question ]

I was a flyer and whenever we would try something new the whole squad would make a circle around the stunt group that was practicing what they would be doing and they would all spot. Our squad was like a big family so it was very easy to feel safe when all of them were standing there with their hands up to protect me if I fell. Another thing is you should practice-practice-practice so you feel very confident when infront of a big group so that when it comes time to the big thing no ones as nervous and they know what theyre doing so well that they could do it in their sleep. BeezKneez answered Friday August 6 2004, 12:23 am: U'll get more comfortable w/ it, and have more confidence in it as u continue 2 practice w/e u might be doing. This might b slightly different, but in gymnastics they always tell u that if ur afraid, u'll never b able 2 do wut u are trying 2. Maybe if u can just relax and not b so afraid of doing wut ur doing, then it'll b a lot easier 2 accomplish than if ur all tense and nervous. Good luck! Make sure as soon as your going up that you stay tight the whole way as do you do them more they well get way easier. [ SillyBlondee's advice column | Ask SillyBlondee A Question ]

Amanduh87 answered Thursday August 5 2004, 11:00 pm: hey girl! im a flyer too i know the nerves you get! just keep trying your best! dont blame yourself for it either it brings your confidence level way down, also get to know your base and be friends let them know that you are nervous about going back up and keep in mind if they drop you they are the ones that have to the extra laps (or w/e your coach may do to them) but try to overcome your nerves ppl expect you to b nervous.. show 'em your stronger than that! flying is the best part! sshelbyy answered Thursday August 5 2004, 10:57 pm: im a flyer too in cheerleading, the first thing to flying is to trust your bases and backspot. and ALWAYS have a front spot when doing difficult stunts. so you have to trust your group and all promise to eachother that no matter what, the flyer comes first. thats prolly it to making you feel comfortable!
