You can even make a folder of rcomendations if you help enough people. When you are buying your dog, I would try and get him/her from the pound since many are killed thier daily. That compassionate descision alone might help your chances of convincing them. Parents really do care. Also try and listen to thier reasons for not wanting a dog. Be very mature and considerate. Hope this helps :) [ musicbox379's advice column | Ask musicbox379 A Question ]
XoXMeLiSsA13XoX answered Thursday August 19 2004, 3:04 am: try showing your parents your responsible by maybe babysitting pets aroung your neighborhood, yes you can take the kids too!! that will probably help! also try getting a small pet, try a fish (BETTA!!) first, next try a hampster, they are easier than dogs and cats, also try guinea pigs (i love the american short haired, they are sooo soft!!! and easy to manage!) also try a perivian! (dont curl/straighten/crimp ect. their hair! it might be tempting though! hehe!)then just move up!
Hope i helped! if ya need anything else drop it in the inbox!!

TheKnightOwl answered Friday August 6 2004, 6:07 pm: Nothing you can do really, except keep nagging them. As long as you live under their roof its their rules. But keep asking, eventually they'll crack, they always crack. No parent can resist the torture, "Can we get a dog? Can we get a dog? Can we get a dog?" Repeated one million times. Muahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Anyhoo, good luck. [ TheKnightOwl's advice column | Ask TheKnightOwl A Question ]
sportscutie13 answered Thursday August 5 2004, 10:12 pm: I think u just need to show ur parents u r responsible- they probly also don't want the dog acting up cuz if he's not trained- it can be a mess. So u need to show them that u can keep that kind of responsibility. [ sportscutie13's advice column | Ask sportscutie13 A Question ]
xo_Meg_ox answered Thursday August 5 2004, 12:16 pm: first, you have to find out exactly why they won't let you get the pet ~ is it because they don't want to take care of it or is someone allergic or is your house too small?? then target this reason...i'm going to assume it's responsibility and in that case then maybe you can prove yourself by watching over a neighbors pet while they go on vacation or something like that...or just promise them that if you start to slack off then they can find the pet a new owner (even tho they won't make you do this if they see how much you love it) good luck ! cherrykeri345 answered Thursday August 5 2004, 9:24 am: haha. i remember doing this for my bird. you write a list of 100 things you will or wont do if you are able to get this dog. so its things like chores, and not throwing your clothes on the floor. or helping your mom do something.and things you will do when you get the dog (walking, cleaning, just taking care of it) ya know. just the basics. then sign it. Love, The BEST Daughter In The ENTIRE World <3 heh! then put in an envelope and write To The Parents Of [your name here] [your address here] and stick it in your mail box. or get the mail and put the letter in the middle. they will be suprised at how eager you are to get a dog. and it will be great. GOOD LUCK! let me know how it goes! <3 ck [ cherrykeri345's advice column | Ask cherrykeri345 A Question ]
PepeLePew answered Thursday August 5 2004, 4:17 am: Show them you are responsible by taking care of a friend's pets for a week. Maybe they just don't want a dog running around the house. [ PepeLePew's advice column | Ask PepeLePew A Question ]
