hi. i got my belly button pierced already but i REALLY want my tongue pierced...my mom keeps telling me 'no way..never' but i really want it done soo bad but she wont give in. i know she'll probably still keep saying "no" but any really good ideas on how to get her to say yes? (besides begging her for HOURS at a time) lol. ILL RATE U!

Tell her how responsible you were with your belly button. and show her you can be really responsible. Let her know youll take care of it and if she doesnt like it that youll take it out!

If it's something you really, REALLY want, and it won't ruin your relationship with your mom, even though she said no, then go ahead. However, it is probably more worth it to wait until you are out on your own if she is really opposed to it. Try having an intelligent dsiscussion with her. Get her point of view and find out why she really doesn't like it. Be ready to give her your reasons why you think it's ok. Try to give her something more than "because it's cool" or "because it looks good." Hopefully you can win her over this way, or maybe this will lead to you being able to work out a compromise. i knew my mom wouldnt approve of me gettin a tongue piercing because she always said theyre for whores that suck dick. which i may add, isnt true.. so i got it without her knowledge. ofcourse she found out a week later when i was speaking to her, but she didnt really yell at me for it. although, she did tell me to take it out, but i said no because i didnt just waste 50 dollars on nothing.
i dont know how you mom is, but i say go for it, and go get it on your own. and if she yells at her, tell her you didnt go through all that for nothing, and that you didnt pay how much ever it costs, for nothing. besides, if you have it already, she cant go in your tongue and take it out now can she?

Lissa,your mom sounds very stubborn. And the more you ask,the more she'll dig her heels in and keep saying no. She just let you get your belly done,so she thinks "If I give a mouse a cookie,he's gunna want a glass of milk." Translation,if you give an inch,I'll take a mile. Give it some time and then bring it up later. Much later. Like in a few months.
