fitness/ wieght i'm 13 yrs old, 5ft 7in and 140lbs. i wanna lose weight but not to much. during the skul year i don't way as much because of the sprts and conditioning I do. i don't wanna way that much when skul starts. any ideas how to lose a couple pounds in a few weeks? thanx

You chould set a goal to run a mile or two a day until school starts. That way you will be in shape for sports and not weigh as much when school starts.Try it!!

Well, if you are looking to loose weight, I'm not sure why I'm answering this question. but.. if you want to look fit, be fit, be healthy, look better in clothes, etc...
RUN.. like crazy. Just run, run, run. Outdoors burns more calories than indoor treadmill running. (im not sure why.. but it does somehow).
Running for me is also like a mind thing. It gives me time to myself and to unwind. Some people find running very strenous, but you set your own pace, how long you want to, what you want to run on (sidewalk, gym, track, grass). It's like the overall excersize. It builds muscle though, and muscle, like they say, weighs more than fat. Hope this helps! ]
Cut out all white carbs, only eat whole wheat (the complex carbs) and only do this during the late afternoon/early evening. Don't eat them during the morning.
Drink water for the next few weeks and nothing else except a glass of milk if you drink it. Juice is really bad but if you really like juice, like fill up a quarter of a glass and then the rest of it should be water.
Don't eat anything after 7 PM ever.
aerobics...do 100 jumping jacks every 2 hours everyday. ]
basically stay away from fast food and sodas...try smoothies and juice instead and for snacks have fruit instead of cookies:) ]
Heres a tip on your wieght loss issue! A DIET!
*eat breakfast! try to balance protein and carbohidrates! try eggs and some type of bread and maybe ham!
* have a snack about 2 hours before lunch (preferably something chewy and healthy like an apple or celery!)
* for lunch balance vegies, fruit,protein, carbo..'s, dairy. maybe some carrot slices a healthy meat like ham or steak, a banana, and some milk!
* for dinner try just like lunch except different foods!
* its the end of the day and after a hard day of dieting eat an ice cream (they make you tired) BUT try not to eat after 8 pm! drink lots of water but most of all enjoy and SaVoR every bite of food you eat! good luck!

In a few weeks u cant lose major weight (but u dont need too). The best way would just b to eat really healthy and excersize. U dont have to excersize a ton, just a little a few times a week. That would help u lose a few pounds. good luck and hope i helped! :)
