In my personal opinion, no it isn't. To me being a Barbie girl is being materialistic and plastic and society's idea of how a woman should look and act....But on the other hand, look at whats being done with the barbie dolls, shes a teacher, a singer, doctor etc...But i still don't think its a good thing, but there is a little bright side to it...

if u are a prep i guess but if some guy walks by and calls u a barbie usually he is making fun of u cuz u r dressing like a super model or something, or care about what u look lik to much. but if a friend says it to u in a non-mean way.. then i guess he could be calling u perfect like barbie.
