Mercy_x_Me answered Wednesday August 4 2004, 8:02 pm: Id definetly assume cold... heres my philosophy. When somethings frozen, its reallly really cold, if the waters already cold, it will take a shorter time to freeze, but hot water has to turn cold and then freeze, so the process must be longer. whattheHELLO1514 answered Monday August 2 2004, 10:22 pm: cold water freezes faster because the molecules in the hydrogen and oxygen compound have already slowed down. Water freezes because the molecules have stopped moving and the friction between them has become less. ( friction between molecules causes warmth) so cold water freezes faster because it takes less time for the movement to stop. [ whattheHELLO1514's advice column | Ask whattheHELLO1514 A Question ]
