UTI is when E.Coli gets in your urinary tract. You can tell if you have UTI because when you pee it burns and you'll also feel you have to go a lot when you don't. If you go to a doctor they will give you antibotics for the treatment. Hope I helped! <3 [ ButterflyKissxx3's advice column | Ask ButterflyKissxx3 A Question ]

CoUnTrYGiRl211 answered Sunday August 1 2004, 7:22 pm: urinary tract infection-Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are usually caused by bacteria that enter the urethra and travel up the urinary tract. Bacteria that normally live in the large intestine and are present in feces are the most common cause of infection. Sexual intercourse may introduce bacteria into the urinary tract, especially in women. Catheters are a common source of bacterial infection in people who are hospitalized or live in long-term care facilities.
Occasionally kidney or bladder infections are caused by bacteria traveling through the blood or lymph system to the urinary tract.
