Question Posted Saturday July 31 2004, 2:01 am

when an embarrassing topic comes up, i can feel my face heat up and i'm sure it's really noticeable - is there anyway to prevent yourself from blushing?? i doubt it but i figured it doesn't hurt to ask

You know, I'm the same exact way. There really isn't a way to help this. What I do all the time, though, especially around people I know, is I tell them that that was really embarrassing. I just admit since my face already practically shows it. :-D I hope this helps.

Heh...I have a friend with this problem.
There's really nothing you can do to stop it. As my friend says every time she blushes (and therefore give something away she was trying to hide) "Confound these blushing cheeks!!"
Sorry I couldn't help!
