i dont think so. i htink 3 years is the best limit in teen years. i went out with someone wen i was 15, he was 18. i think its fine, but hmm ur parents... well try to convince them that nothing will change, ur grades will b good n u will b responsible. also add in that many guys ages 15-16 are dumbasses. cuz honestly, its those who try to get sex more cuz they havent had it yet

Well since he is over 18 it is kind of a problem. If you ever had sex with him he could get arrested. Its not really a good idea to take someone over 18 if you are under 18.

They are probably just worried that because tyler is 18 he will try to pressure you to have sex or something like that. Just let them know that you are 16, and you are not stupid, you would never let a guy take advantage of you, and you now right from wrong.

I'd say like talk about him a lot and how great he is, maybe bring him around as friends and have your parents see that he is a good guy! Talk to them and let them know that you will be 16 in december thats only 2 years apart.. Tell them that if something bad was to happen that you know to tell right away and dont let things go on and that you wouldnt be pressured into things that you dont want to do. They are just worried about that. Good luck hope you get what you want

You have to prove your parents that you are mature enough to date older guys. Tell them that you really like this guy and you are trying to be honest and open about it, because you trust them enought to talk to them about it rather than to sneak behind their backs.. good luck~!
