Yeast infection..
I have a yeast infection and I'm okay with it because I've had one before. The only thing that worries me is that I had sex for the very first time last weekend and I'm scared that it happened from that. I'm very sensitive "down there" and if every time I have sex, its gunna happen then thats not a good thing. Can you get a yeast infection from sex or an STD?!?!

Basically a yeast infection is just when bacteria is built up in the vagina..... I have no idea if you used protection or not but even if you used it you can still get an STD...now if it doesnt go away in the usual time a yeast infection does then go to your doctor, he is not allowed to tell your parents if your worried about that....i want you to also understand that there is many ppl that have STDs that dont know it so if you ever have sex, it is a really good idea to get checked....if you have any more questions, write bak or IM me on x3inlovewityoux3

If you don't use a condom you can get an STD. (You can get genital warts even if you use one but that's different). Sometimes people have a reaction to a particular kind of condom when they have sex. I switched brands ocasionally and that helped.
You might just have a yeast infection, but I would go to the doctor and see because there is another infection that is just like it that can cause sterility called bacteriosis.
A vagina has a certain amount of good and bad bacteria, and if you offset that balance you can have problems. Irritation won't happen every time you have sex, but it can happen.

No yeast infections do not come from STDs or from have sex. Your jusr a lil paraniod because it was your first time having sex. But no don't worry sweetie it's not from that.

It could be an STD that you have, I would go see your doctor. Your doctor can also tell you more about whether or not you'll be more likely to get a yeast infection every time that you have sex. I seriously doubt that it would happen every time, but since your very sensative down there, there might be some precautions that you can take to help this problem.
Also, legally your doctor can't tell your parents that you've had sex if your worried about that at all.
And definately use condoms if you have sex again. Even if it's just a yeast infection, it is possible for guys to get it from you.

Yes you can get a yeast infection from having sex. But no, it won't happen every time! It's usual for a girl to have irratation after losing her virginity, but just to be on the safe side go to get tested for an STD. Don't worry, almost all STDS are treatable :)
