So I guess, try to open your eyes, look around you and see how it effects you and others close to you, b/c apparently you GF cares and wants you to stop. Also try to get into somethin new, or somethin you used to be into so much b4 you started to pot. Plus, pot isnt addicting...it's mind addicting, meaning, you only think you're addicted b/c you enjoy it alot, so just tell yourself "NO!" and try to drop it. MissJ1414 answered Thursday July 15 2004, 11:17 pm: Just hang out with a different crowd for a little while until your drive for pot goes away. Don't put yourself in situations where you know your going to be doing it at. Stay away from the people your getting it from. Just don't put yourself in situations where you know that ppl are going to be smoking it and you are to. Think about Yourself and how you don't wanna go back to rehab and think about your girlfriend try to respect her wishes. Pot will ruin your life and it's best if you can go ahead and get off of it now. [ MissJ1414's advice column | Ask MissJ1414 A Question ]
selectopaque answered Thursday July 15 2004, 6:39 pm: Seriously, I have never heard of anyone being addicted to pot, or getting sick from it. This just dumbfounds me. I smoked pot for about a year or two, when I decided to quit, it was hard. But I started to realize that it was only hard because I wanted to hang out, and smoking with people seemed like a good excuse to just go hang out. After a while I also realized that I didn't need to smoke to hang out. If someone passed me a joint, I just discretely passed it to the next person. I don't know if this helps you because I have seriously never heard of anyone being addicted. If there's another drug that your doing along with marijuana, then I would understand that you actually have a problem, but I have never seen pot harm anyone in any way unless you count making someone lay around, watch tv, and eat chips all day... marksbitch answered Thursday July 15 2004, 6:31 pm: instead of going to rehab, try a counseling program at a nearby clinic or at your school. you do need some form of guidance. good luck <3. [ marksbitch's advice column | Ask marksbitch A Question ]

GC_rox_my_sox answered Thursday July 15 2004, 4:46 pm: Stop hanging around with people who smoke pot. Try to think of more fun things to do: Go to movies, eat ice cream, skate, anything that will keep you away from it. Blow all your money on something you've been wanting for a long time, like a bike or something really nice like that, so you won't have any money left to buy pot.
