Try talking to him first and finding out if he still likes you so you don't just go up to him and be like hey you wanna go out with me lol. Not that you would say it like that, but you get what I'm saying lol. Just call him up and be like "I know we went out once before, but I was just wondering if you still liked me, because I still like you ALOT" Just say something like that. And see what he says.
