A really really good Flat iron would be the Ceramic Flat Iron, my hair is really curly and i use it, although it costs more than most others, your hair will stay nice and str8--no frizz!I kno u mite not want to iron your hair, but just in case u needed a idea for a new one --Christina

yea, its not a rele good idea to use that kind of iron because it really really damages ur hair. I used to do that but it rele fucked up my hair. It might rele look good and straight the first couple of times. But ur gonna get really bad split ends and ur hair is gonna look fried. stop doing it. Get a perm, or buy a special ceramic straightening iron, it works. It leaved ur hair SUPER straight! *~shorty~*

You'll be bald when your old. Don't do that to your hair :( Love your hair. Yeah, mine can be like that too, but one day I went to the beauty saloon, and when the lady was cutting, I told her about my problem, and she told me that if I hair-dry my hair, it wouldn't get so frizzy. I do that once in a while, but never too much. Leanr to love the frizziness!

<3

There are also shampoos to do that, but I forgot what they were called, never really worked for me.

First: Put a chemical straitiner in it.
After that on normal days: Wash and condition with stait hair shampoo. Then put some friz control stuff or a lil baby oil (key word LITTLE), then dry it as strait as you can then use your straightener. When your using your straightener pull it with you hair down not to the side or up but down.

Wowi had this exact same problem. My hair was like blahh it was a mess... But i went to walmart and in the like the hair dye department, theres like a bunch of home perms made by like Ogilve I think its called.. And they have one thats a STRAIGHT perm. n you do it by yourself. It has really easy to use directions and it takes about a lil less than an hour, and you can do it by yourself, or a friend can help you. It made my hair alot easier to work with, and it doesnt take as much time to straighten it anymore and it stays straight all day.

Well try to get it trimmed you may have a few dead ends and that will also help with straighten it but try blow drying it first (when its obviously wet) and that will help it a bit then straighten it thats what i do and it works better then just straightening it but you can go to hair success and they have this straightner my friend got it from there i just dont know if all hair success's have it-trix

I have the same problem!! Okay, I got so tired of straightening my hair once that I also used an iron... But would you rather have curly/wavy hair or dead hair? :/ Yeah, so alls I'm saying is give it a chance. The fellas dig chicks with curly hair... Trust me ;)

theres a certain product you can buy its like a straight perm but you do it yourself..its expensive though its like $100 n it keeps your hair straight for like 6 months even through water n shampoo n all that good stuff!! but your better off going to you haircutter and having them do it b/c its about the same price, the only difference is its professionally done!

FernGully answered Wednesday July 14 2004, 5:40 pm:
I'd stop using the iron, its destroying your hair. Each time you use the iron, your hair will be frizzier after a shower than the last time. Each time it gets worse. All straighteners destroy your hair, but the iron is the worse. Try doing a hot oil treatment on your hair. You can buy V05 Hot Oil treatments for about 10$, but if you aren't willing to spend that on hot oil, then just ask your mom or a friend to help you and use vegetable oil from your house instead. Pour some in a cup and place the cup in a coffee mug 3/4 filled with steamy hot water. Wait for the oil to get very warm (but not extrmely hot, because you'll burn your head) and then put the oil in your hair. Leave it in for a while and then wash it out with your regular shampoo.
Doing this every once and a while will help your frizzyness situation.
As for straighteners - the best straightener is the CHI, here in Canada it sells for a good 300$ though. A good idea would be to pick up a ceramic straightener, it'll say ceramic right on the box.
