what i wear
My mom always has me wearing what she thinks is cute. I told her I want to change to like a punk style but she wont let me. I want to be comfortable in what I wear but I cant get her to except my style!!! How should I explain this to her again???

Tell her that you have the right to pick out what youre wearing, because you ARE the one wearing it. Say it nicely though so you dont start an arguement over it.

I think your mom should respect what you want to wear,. I mean shes still in that baby stage where she picks out what you want to wear . lol. maybe she thinks the wrong idea when you say "punk". She tell her that your not going to turn into one of those gothic freaks,. Or i would just go out with my friends to a mall,. and buy my own cholthes and than she cant do anything about it,. lol =)

try showing her you want to be comfortable.Show her that you want to be yourself and not her and she should understnad because i am like that too. So i mean just be yourself ( You'll go far in life )

well i think that you should be able to choose watever you want to wear. personally i think that your individual style shows who you are, and i don't thnk that your mom should choose that for you.Tell her that maybe that will change her mind.

Talk to your mother tell her your not comfortable in what you wearing. Try to comprimise or reason with her. Maybe you'll find so punkish cloths that you both like.

Try going shopping with your mom and showing her the clothes that you like. And just be like these are the clothes I like because it fits my personality. Thats how I like to dress and I think its cute. I don't want to dress how you want me to dress because that doesn't fit me and I don't feel comfortable in them like I do with the clothes I want to wear. Just try going from there and I hope that works! Good luck hun! =P

i would say, "Mom, i really wish i could show my style .. I dont really like the style uve got on me now and it doesnt show my personality.. cant i please pick out my own clothes?" ..thats what i did wen i had the same prob a while ago

Your mom sounds somewhat like my mom did, she wanted me to be preppy like but i was the whole skater dealy chick, so me and her went shopping together and picked out things that was my kind of "punkish" type and things se thought were cute... Try shopping at like Pac Sun they have lots of preppy/punkish kinds of things, maybe she'll get used to it like my mom did and just let you wear what you want...
