I have 3 pink and 1 yellow wall its the princess theme and i want a canopy for my bed and pink lil rugs and cute lil things but in my current room its the tiger theme so i have a tiger rug and tiger pictures and tiger comforter and pillows-trix

I don't want to paint my walls, so a more temporary decorating idea that I used would be to put things that are important to you on your walls. That way, when people walk in your room, what they see is essentially a picture of who you are. I have pictures that I drew or painted, photos, an old record (i love music), caution tape, inspiring quotes, a menu from an italian restaurant in new york city, three sombreros, and anything else you could think of on my walls. Nothing matches, and I love it. Whatever you decide to do, my number one tip would be to do something that you will still like a year later, and not to buy all this stuff and change your mind at the last minute.

get a couple of corlered lights and put them in your room. you can buy them any where they are $1.00 and less.

One of the things that's really fun to do is use magnetic paint! It has iron in it, so you paint the wall with the magnetic paint, then paint over it with any color you want and PRESTO: a magnetic wall! I have one in my room! We just fixed the paint job a little while ago. I've got magnets holding up all sorts of crazy things. It's really cool!

i painted my room white and got four diffrent color paints and splattered them on the walls it looks really good and then i just got things for my room that matched the colors that i used for the walls

I painted all my walls different colors also...but I made my own painting type things that are really easy even if you aren't artistic!! You get this one type of material, called muslin I beleive..and cut it out to the size you want, and tape it on cardboard..(Make sure there is extra space so you can frame it) Then you have to melt different colors of crayons with wax, to make the colors you want to use. Once they are fully melted, you paint whatever you want on the muslin, once its dry you crunch it all up so you get cracks!! It's ok if wax falls off of the muslin..it looks more absract! Once you have it cracked in the places you want, you soak it in Rit Dye..you can buy it at Wal-Mart..probably Target too, you add the dye to water and just let it sit for a little while. The dye fills in all the cracks and extra spacing around the edges and looks really cool!!! I didn't expain it to well, so if you ARE interesting, go ahead and e-mail me! I will get you the directions for sure and explain it more throughly, hope this helps a little bit!!

alright well I'm doing my room in 50's, with like a booth and shit... it was cool at the point when i wanted to do it (8th grade) then we got all the stuff then i decided shit i dont want to do it anymore. But yeah that was my idea for my room.

I painted my walls different colors. Each wall was a different color from the others. I painted them blue, green, orange, yellow, and red. I also put this big palm tree light in my bathroom ('cept my bathroom is pink!) I got really soft, velvet-ey, multi-colored (to match my walls) pillows too. Some were squares, others were tube pillows (if that's what you call them) and one was shaped like a monkey. Heh, I also put white rope lights on the upmost part of my wall (where it meets the ceiling) and stained my wood desk and vanity so that not everything looked so complicated. I got two bean bag chairs in my little "Spa Corner" in my room. That has a table, manicure/pedicure set, and a paraffin wax. (I had always wanted to do that!) Yup, that's what I did. Maybe that sparked some ideas! Please rate me!

Hm... I painted my room my favorite color (Carolina blue), made some cool paintings, got some cool posters, picked out a colorful bedspread, got some cute picture frames, you know. I decked it out really nice. Lol, now I love my room, even though it's about 12'x 12'. -Sporkster

Yeah, i have like two rooms in one then a bathroom, so in one room i put up posters of all my favorite bands and actors and other stuff, but then in the main part i kind of did an old fashioned style with neat posters of Paris and other places. but i hate my room so i wasnt much help.
