Hope this helped some!!! ;) [ ShOrTnSwEeT42094's advice column | Ask ShOrTnSwEeT42094 A Question ]
blackmamba answered Monday July 12 2004, 3:29 am: well.. the posters are making it seem small. my brother used to have a room covered (seriously: every single inch) with posters and his room looked like a closet. then we were re-painting the whole house and took them down and his room was HUGE. second thing- maybe you could get a closet organizer instead of the dresser. oh and mirrors make rooms look bigger so maybe get some full length mirrors. have fun- peace out [ blackmamba's advice column | Ask blackmamba A Question ]
Fish answered Sunday July 4 2004, 8:06 pm: Put a long mirror on your door. There's a certain kind of molding that you can get at a hardware store (it creates the look of window panes) and you glue that to the mirror. It'll make it look like a French Door and give the illusion of space. Since your parents probably won't let you get rid of the dresser either, you could try switching the wall paint. If you choose ligter colors, it makes a room feel bigger. Also, if you have one base color for the walls, get a slightly lighter shade of that and use it on the ceiling and trim, etc. That'll make the ceiling feel like it's higher and the walls sort of keep on going. SexyHal answered Saturday July 3 2004, 7:15 pm: I think you should talk to ur parents about painting the walls a light color and then rearanging ur room with alot of posters it makes the room look small so u should try and limit the stuff on ur walls!!

cowsoink answered Friday July 2 2004, 11:53 pm: Well ok try to rearange, but i think u have to talk to ur parents first, because i had kinda the same thing but a lil different. Okay, i told my mother and all she did was do her own thing and had no consiteration 4 what i wanted or needed and took everything out,and sold all of it and got a new floor and stuff but thats just cuz i approched her in a much different way that i should have. Try to come to an agreement of what u both want. Hope this helped. [ cowsoink's advice column | Ask cowsoink A Question ]
Cammie answered Friday July 2 2004, 11:46 pm: Big, fat horizontal stripes with paint reallly make the room look bigger! Big, meaning 2ft. stripes. I have a HUGE "antique" dresser thing that's HUGE, a queen bed, but no posters. What I do, I have big stripes on my walls, and it just seems to make the room look larger. If I had a lot of posters, I'd take down ones that I've had for a LONG time, unless I really loved 'em. I put my bed diagnol in a corner so that I doesn't take up so much of my floor space (considering I also have a desk, shelves, and vanity. Plus, I don't have a huge room. If I had posters, I'd put them on the wall across from the wall on which my dresser is place. That wall isn't taken up with stuff except for my vanity. I hope I hoped just even a little bit! Please rate me.
Siren_Cytherea answered Friday July 2 2004, 11:23 pm: Mirrors can make any room seem bigger. Get a huge mirror to go with your huge dresser. Mirrors help a lot. My room would seem soooooo small if I didn't have a full-length mirror in the middle of the northish wall. Hope I helped!
