Awccmfan answered Monday July 5 2004, 11:42 pm: Ok, I'm a broke college student, so cheap fast food is what i usually go for. Try these:
Top Ramen (not for me, but most people like it)
Cup O Noodles
Grilled cheese sandwhiches
Quesadillas
Macaroni & cheese
good ol' PB and J
popcorn
orphans answered Monday July 5 2004, 10:40 pm: Ramen- n. Besides McDonalds, the largest food staple of college students everywhere.
Top ramen is seriously the cheapest, easiest thing to make. All you need is 8 minutes, about 20 cents, and the ability to boil 2 cups of water. Voila! Dinner.
Of course, you can't live on ramen alone. Try things like grilled cheese, macaroni and cheese, or cereal. You also need fruit so buy whatever canned veggies are on sale (they have a long shelf life) and seasonal fruits. If you are just cooking for one, frozen dinners are great. Most grocery stores sell them for $1-$2 or so each, so stock up. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
