i think i am fat.. (i weigh 130 and i'm 5'6"). i have tried to diet by eating healty and i still do but it isn't working. also, i excercise all the time by playing baseball, running, working out, and playing with my neighbors. i keep trying but i just can't lose weight! does anyone have any suggestions?

lynx_wings answered Tuesday June 29 2004, 11:16 pm: You are NOT overweight. You are right in the middle of being normal, according to your BMI. (google "BMI calculator" if you don't believe me) and you shouldn't be so hard on yourself.
Still, exercise is always good, so keep on doing the sports and working out. Healthy food is also good, so keep doing that.
Now that I think of it, it occurs to me that since you do so much exercise, you're probably quite muscly. Muscle weights A LOT more than fat, so you're probably on the skinny side of normal, rather than in the middle. [ lynx_wings's advice column | Ask lynx_wings A Question ]
xo_dream answered Tuesday June 29 2004, 11:00 pm: You're already at a healthy weight :o) .. Keep exercising, because it's really healthy + stuff, but I think you can stop trying to lose weight. If you want, you can cut down on the amount of soda you drink + if you eat a lot of junk food, you can cut down on that too, and you'll probably lose a few pounds just from that.
