What do you all think about people posting up a "question" for people to check out their column and ask them questions? I don't really like it, but it's not like there's a rule against it or anything that I remember. Just askn for your opinions...
LilMia811 answered Monday June 28 2004, 7:34 pm: Personally I think it is a waste of space on this site. I think if someone is wondering how their column is going, he/she should pick one columnist and just ask there oppinions. And the only way to really get people to ask someone questions is if you answer the one that are already on the site, that way if the person likes your points of veiw they will trust in asking you more questions. Point blank I don't like when people post questions about their column. [ LilMia811's advice column | Ask LilMia811 A Question ]
advice~gurl answered Monday June 28 2004, 7:18 pm: I hate it when people do that. They complain about stupid questions and then they try to adverisize their column. Whats the diffenerce?
Yeah I kinda think there should be a rule against it. It might help but I don't think many people really read the rules because they still ask how to rate and ask questions.
I have never tryed to get people to read my column I have just answered questions and I seem to get alot of questions asked to me sometimes. ButI know some people think I give the most unhelpfull advice ever so I think they shouldn't try to advertise their coumns. were not advicenators just to become popular. (<- thats what i think they are doing)
MFS answered Monday June 28 2004, 6:45 pm: I generally delete all such "questions" where people bed for attention like that. "advertising" your column accomplishes nothing.
xo_dream answered Monday June 28 2004, 5:06 pm: Yeah, it's kind of annoying, but it's not like I let it get to me or anything .. this is just as pointless of a question as those, so .. yeah [[ i don't want to sound rude, but .. yeeeeeeeah ]].
lynx_wings answered Monday June 28 2004, 4:44 pm: It annoys me horribly, but I suppose all you can do is ignore it. If you're a level 1 moderater and can rate the questions, give them bad ratings. [ lynx_wings's advice column | Ask lynx_wings A Question ]
