outsider
im gonna be a freshman next year and im really afraid im not gonna fit in. see i have plenty of friends now but i worked pretty hard to get and keep them. im... different to say the least and a lot of people dont get me and now it feels like i have to start all over again to find friends. and frankly, im not sure how. im kinda anti-social in a way... i dont like people on a whole lol cause they're stupid... but i do like meeting new people and i would really like to make some new friends

Don't worry about it at all. The one thing that I've learned about highschool social groups and status is that your social ranking really doesn't matter in the long run. Just try to stay popular in your own group of friends. There are so many people that it doesn't really matter that you don't fit in because no one really "fits-in" if you get what I'm saying. Just make sure you stay close to your current group of friends so you aren't friendless in highschool. That would really suck beyond all reason. o__o||

Honsetly it will all work out! You meet sooo many new and amazing people in high school. All of my friends changed from middle school to high school! Like you meet people in all your classes and everything! You will find the people you are meant to hang out with trust me! But dont forget you have to make an effort to. Even though u say your anti-social try to talk to lots of people and you will have SO many friends! GOod luck!!!!!!

Aw, don't consider yourself as an outsider! It's summer and you are already worried about school next year! lol Since you're entering highschool people change and everyone is different. Sometimes people are more experienced in fitting in than others. It's not about what other people do, it's about you and your own actions. Be yourself all the time, don't be afraid to show who you really are. People tend to find it annoying if other people start doing exactly what they do. If you have confidence and are yourself they will love you! Trust me! If you are anti-social a little bit, practice becomming more outgoing. Go to the mall or swimming and just talk to people. Meeting new friends is like baby steps. You talk, you get to know them and their interests, they learn a little about you, and then you start hanging out with them more frequently. lol alright.. well if u dont like people as a whole dont think of it that way. just think of them as individuals because everyone is different. not just you. you gotta get to know someone to make a judgement on them so i suggest you keep your mind open about new things. if you like meetin new ppl and makin friends then thats exactly wat you gotta do. i belive that out of every 10 friends there is about 2 you will have a good connection with and you will like them. there is no harm in gettin out n tryin new things. but yes i agree ppl can be stupid.. but just rememebr to open ur mind n think about one person at a time n not like ur associatin with everyone at once.. i hope this helps at all..good luck with freshmen year.. im guna be one to..!!! lol

just about every one like you and me had and have to start over. i was an outkast. i had like 2 friends. when i went into the 9nth grade it sucked at first cos all the "popular" preppy ppl always made fun of me. but i stuck with the friends i had and i eventually made more friends. now i basically know every one in my school and every one knows me, including the preppy ppl. but i havent changed at all in my personality.
