Courtney answered Tuesday May 11 2004, 8:52 pm: You are thirteen and you need a dog . Well, ask your parents . Tell them that you will clean up its mess and tell them that anything the dog does, you will be responsible for . First, they will say that you're not responsible because you don't maybe clean up after yourself(I don't know). You have to mention this before they do because, it will make them seem like you really want to have the dog . Sometimes it makes parents think that you will asume responsibility by saying this before they do . They will probably make you take care of something for a certain amount of time . Take care of it and don't take it to school because, you may have some jerk that'll intentionally destroy it . Whatever your parents throw at you , you have to come back quick aand certain . Look them in their eye and don't blink . This is Courtney . What I said, try it . Oh , will you rate this advice . Have a nice day !!!! [ Courtney's advice column | Ask Courtney A Question ]

in all seriousness, do something you really love then you'll meet people with common interests and won't need a dog. [ Moop's advice column | Ask Moop A Question ]
bubbles answered Tuesday May 11 2004, 4:25 pm: First how do you know who I am?
What you should promis your mom,or your dad, or both that you can take care of it. Say you can
take full responsability. If that don't work say you will save money to buy it or pay your parents back and give a puppy pout look on your face. [ bubbles's advice column | Ask bubbles A Question ]
MissieChan answered Tuesday May 11 2004, 11:47 am: Getting a pet, such as a dog, is a greatthing to do but it can also be very hard. First you have to figure out what kind of person you are. Can you give most of your time to take care of a dog? Do you have enough time and patience to train a dog not to pee on rugs and crap everywhere in the house? Or are you like me and too lazy to do this?
Once you figure out what your like then its time to research what kind of dogs need what kind of attention. You can almost find this on the web. I would go onto google.com and look for a site that has inforamtion on what kind of dogs needs what kind of attention. Most small breeds, such as my Maltese, need a lot of attention. So if you cant handle that try to find which dogs can be with themselfs a lot.
Then you need to know how much money you can spend on a dog. Dogs take a lot of food depending on the size. Smaller dogs will take a lot less food then a big dog. Can you afford that? Then there are toys, trainging pads, Doctors visits, Health issues for every breed, and tons more. Since your only 133 your parents will need to pay for everything. If their willing to do that then go ahead and get yourself a friend. I did
