Well, there are several ways to catch an STD, it depends on the symptoms. You can catch one the first time you have sex. Symptoms of chlamydia aren't as noticeable, and it's the hardest to detect. Any kind of vaginitis is noticeable by discharge, smell, painful urination..etc.., There are a few symptoms of HIV that I can't think of right now, but if you've contracted the virus, it can take up to 6 months for signs to appear. And yes, I'm 99% sure the only way to catch one naturally is to have sex. Hence SEXUALLY in the acronym STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease)
But some can also be spread through infected needles, organ transplants, and blood transplants.

Hiv you can only find out is if your tested, but other stds you can tell suck as herpes, genetal warts, genital lice.
Yes pretty much the only way to catch an atd is through sex, or rubbing intesly. But Aids can be caught through sex, needle sharing, bllod transfusiom.

i have a test 4 stds today. Ive had a few parners. Its best to be tested. Your nurse will talk u though what she will do and its doesnt hurt. U lay on a bench and she puts a tube up into ur vagina and takes swobs. If u have had parners or not had save sex its is gd to take responablity and get it done. The nurse talks to u all the way thoi so no need to b embrassed.
