hi there i have a big black head problem i have a million black heads on my nose and a few around my eyes...whats the best way to get rid of them without them coming back???????? HELP!!!!
x_Kris_x answered Saturday June 5 2004, 5:17 pm: Don't try and pinch them out, this will just cause the dirt to go deeper into your skin. Wash your face three times a day, and maybe see a skin specialist. :-)
Blackheads don't go away permenantly, but you can steam your face so that the pores open and the dirt softens, then softly try and lift them out with a cloth over your hands so you don't put your bare hands on your face. Just keep your hands away from your face as much as you can! ;) [ x_Kris_x's advice column | Ask x_Kris_x A Question ]

bye
jbdreamer answered Tuesday May 4 2004, 9:40 am: Pore clear strips. They work great for your nose and chin! A cheep, easy solution. Or go get a facial. It's kinda painful, but they use a black light to see and get rid of alot of them. But unfortunatly they are always going to come back at one point. DruidX answered Tuesday May 4 2004, 7:48 am: I personaly would squeeze them all out to prevent a white head forming, and then make sure I washed everyday with either a anti-blackhead/ medicated lotion, or something abrasive. Then I would try to stay away from foods that would make my face greasier like deep-fat-fried stuff.
notnormal answered Monday May 3 2004, 11:56 pm: My daughter is a cosmetologist. She says go see an esthetician (skin specialist.) Blackheads are pores that are clogged, and the surface is darkened by dirt.
You can steam your face by boiling water in a pot, and put your face over it. If you skin is sensitive, do this for five minutes, but if it is oily you can do it for up to 20 minutes. This softens the dirt and opens the pores.
Then use kleenexes over your fingertips, and squeeze the blackheads by pressing and lifting, not pinching. Use your fingertips instead of your nails, and push on a large area of skin, so you don't force the dirt back into your face.
Estheticians have magnifying glasses and special tools, a lot of training, and can be more effective. They have more techniques than this, but it is very difficult to do this for yourself. [ notnormal's advice column | Ask notnormal A Question ]
