Turc answered Sunday April 11 2004, 11:50 am: Your mom could have plenty of reasons for not wanting to get you new shoes.
1) They cost a lot.
2) They don't fit you right, but you don't want to admit it because they're "cool".
3) You have lots of shoes.
4) You just got a new pair of shoes.
5) You don't really need a new pair of shoes.
6) They're really not that great and your mom doesn't want to buy them.
If you really want them, think of some ingenious way to earn the money. Also, April 13th is a Tuesday here in these United States. [ Turc's advice column | Ask Turc A Question ]

Cspinoza1 answered Saturday April 10 2004, 6:57 pm: Well you can try explaining the dire need of the shoes and what is so important about them and need them. And second have you wondered why your mother won't get them for you? Naturally either parents say no because they don't think you need another pair of shoes, or they cannot afford them.
Moop answered Saturday April 10 2004, 6:11 pm: do you really need them? are you walking out of the shoes you've got? do your feet freeze from your current shoes in the winter? if you answered no to any of those you're out of luck 'getting' your mother to buy them. maybe you should earn the money for them yourself. and why do you /need/ them before Monday? FernGully answered Saturday April 10 2004, 2:33 pm: You probably cant/shouldnt try to force your mom to buy you the shoes since its her money. Maybe if you ask her really nicely and tell her you're going to take really good care of them and maybe do some extra chores around the house for her she might consider it.
