About Hilary Duff
Hey I have a question it seems no matter where I go I hear a song by Hilary Duff and I see her on Tv. Naturally I have nothing against her or for her. Now What is so great and what isn't? Don't tell me she is a good role model because a good role model would encourage a person to be comfortable with themselves and she isn't example: height. Think about your future example Bys a 400 dollar vintage shirt for a "BOYFRIEND" so just comments would be great.

Personally, I think she sucks. My cousins next door neighbor met her and I think you said you met her too...but my cousin said that the next door neighbor said she was a total jerk! I can understand that she was probably nice at one point...but I'm assuming she SLOWLY became meaner. The fame can do that to you...
She's an OKAY actress SOMETIMES and ONLY SOMETIMES...but she's terrible at singing. I bet she is a jerk and it's not like I hate her...but I'm just furious at the fact that she's famous for her 'singing' when SO MANY OTHER people out there have so much more talent and who deserve to be in the spotlight.
I'm betting Disney just wanted to make money off of her because of her 'cute' face. ERG! I'm so furious about this.

I think that hilary duff is O.K.A.Y. I use to really like her songs but now they seem the same.
I don't think that anyone in hollywood should be labled a "Good Role Model" because thats just wrong! I mean there is not a single person in hollywood that i would call my role model. Yes hilary may have a nice voice, Yes she may be an actress and is on TV but what makes her my role model? she doesn't know who I am and she isn't perfect! My role models are people in my life that know who I am. They have familys they are nice, caring, they ALWAYS take the time to hear my complaint. Yes Hilary my be nice but she isn't my friend and so I guess in away i agree with you that she is not a role model and shouldin't be.

A lot of people I know don't like her...they never even talk about her. It's just rap or rock.
I do not think she can act or sing. But those are not reasons to "hate" her. I dislike her...if I ever want to find out more about her, then maybe I'd like her more. But until that day comes...bleh to her. Her singing. Her acting. BLEH!

Hilary Duff is so well liked for many reasons. Personally, i hate her voice, and i don't think she can act. But, she is a sweet kid. She is one of the prettiest people alive too, which is another reason. Since she is going for Bubble Gum Rock music, kids from 9-13 seem to really like her and she doesn't really have a signature voice, it is just like talking in tune, so no one can really hate that which is why it is played everywhere

Younger people are really easily influenced by something thats considered popular. If everyone has it - they want it. Everyone embraces the Duff stuff (including the music and movies and of course Stuff her clothing line). A lot of young teens think that they have found a really good role model because she has yet to cross over to the uber slut side of media. but of course, most expect that that is only in due time.
I think kids should have role models like their mothers and fathers, teachers and other people, tangible people. That way kids can actually have role models that will lead them on a personal level.
I have yet to see things out of Hilary Duff that screams 'positive role model' but its not like she is a negative one either. Kids really take a liking to things that are in their face and you just cant get Hilary Duff out of your face.
By the way, I really dont see how being a good singer or actress makes you automatically a good role model. A role model is someone with positive morals and values, not a good pipes and acting lessons. SOrry but that doesnt really constitute a role model in my books.
