Zits...ew...

Question Posted Friday March 19 2004, 7:04 pm

I don't think there is a section for puberty, but there should be.

Anyhow, I have a hurty pimple thing in my NOSE. Gross, yes. Hurty, yes. It's like pea-sized and it hurts alot. It's right on the opening of my nostril. At first I thought it was a tumor but thats very unlikely. I went to pop it and only a little bit of zitty stuff came out, even though it's huge. (Ewwy...)

Any remedies or comments?

Tea tree oil will help to take the swelling down and fight the infection; it has antiseptic properties. Just don't get any in your eyes.

Don't listen to that person who said that if you pop it, it will grow back bigger. That is so NOT true. I've had them inside my nose, too, and you can't put medicine on a zit inside your nose. And they REALLY hurt! Ow! I took a needle and sterilized over a flame until it glowed red, and I very carefully folded back my nostril, and popped, and squeezed until all the stuff came out. You may want to get someone you trust to help you. I hope you can find someone who is willing. My mom would help me with zits on my back when I was a kid. I know it's gross, but she cared enough to help. Then take a piece of tissue, or a corner of a washcloth, and put very hot water on it, and hold it there as long as you can. That's what I did when I had this kind of zit. And it didn't come back bigger. I think I've only had one like that maybe once or twice in my whole life. They are very rare. Good Luck!

I don't know about others, but I was always for poping zits. Put a hot wash cloth on it to soften it up. If if has a white top, then it is ready to pop. Just make sure you sqweez it until all the pus is out, and just starts to bleed. If the blood is kinda watery, keep squeezing until it is red. That zit shouldn't be comming back!

Here-To-Help answered Friday March 19 2004, 9:49 pm:
Just a week ago I had something like that. I just didn't touch it. Everybody is going to get something like that; whether they have good hygiene or not...just keep washing and make sure you're a clean person. That prevents zits...but they are ALWAYS going to happen to everyone regardless how clean you are.
JUST DON'T TOUCH IT...you said you popped it...DON'T DO THAT. That may make it grow back even bigger, or it will hurt A LOT MORE!...

So just look for medicine in the store for pimples, and DON'T TOUCH IT! (as I have said many times before).

~GL with that~

*Laughs* I had this problem as well (in the same place, no less). Zit meds. Go to a dermatologist and he or she can reccomend something that will work for you. Dermatologists are a teenager's best friend...I'd try Retin-A micro. I think it's prescription, but I'm not sure. That's what I use. I'm not sure if this helped, but I hope so! Zits are annoying. Good luck fixing it, lol.
