Hey,
I know what it's like to be made fun of at school, and it's horrible. In fact, i think there are very few people who go through their school years without having someone say something nasty to them at some point. But the thing is, if what you wear makes you feel good, if what you listen to is what you like, it's no one elses business but yours. All the more power to you for being an individual, and doing what you truly like rather than being a mindless zombie that just conforms to everyone else.
The kid that you described sounds immature and ignorant, but trust me, kids can (and usually are) be really, really cruel. Bullies are cowards. Don't let them make you feel bad, because being you is really important, stand up for yourself and keep doing what you're doing, because it sounds like you're already ahead of everyone else :)

Hey...don't worry about what other people think of you. I know it's hard to block these sort of things out...but in reality, they're the IMMATURE ones if they waste their time coming up to people they supposedly "don't like" and make fun of them like they do. I know you probably hear this all the time...but it's the truth.

Everybody is made fun of at some point...I am too...but it's come to the point where I HONESTLY don't give a crap anymore. People are going to talk...no matter what you do...
Even the people who are MADE FUN of are going to talk...do you get what I mean? It's nothing you can control...it's out of your hands. As long as you are GOOD TO PEOPLE while you're being YOURSELF you'll get what you deserve (WHICH IS GOOD)...

In my old school...I wasn't made fun of for how I looked, how I dressed, or what I liked...do you know what I was made fun of for?? BECAUSE I DIDN'T TALK TO MOST OF THEM. I had a few friends who I could talk to...and a few friends that I didn't talk to (but I think they understood). But see the thing is...it wasnt because I didn't want to talk to people....I just couldn't help it at all. People still made fun of me. It hurt...and I used to run up to my room and cry for hours and if I talked to any of the "popular" people online they would start fights with me...

I USED to cry...I still do sometimes about these situations...but not to an EXTREME...I let it all go. You know what really gets them angry...when they make fun of you and YOU DON'T CRY...do you understand? They WANT you to cry...but don't.
Think positive thoughts and just smile...or give a Im-better-than-you SMILE...and don't say anything, but turn and walk away...that will get them so mad without even doing anything wrong. It's better then punching someone out because they cant do anything about a SMILE...but they will get frustrated and at first they may call you some names (but then again they might not).

So just remember: Two wrongs don't make a right
But smile-it's better then a fight

WOW! I just made that up on the spot...simple and to the point lol

If people won't talk to you because of the way you dress, they obviously aren't the type of people who you want to be friends with anyway. Someone will end up having a lot in common with you and talk to you.
Good Luck

ROCK THIS WAY!

Bleh...I still listen to that song.

at least your not a poseur. be yourself...not everyone is going to like you anyway. think of it this way, they are jealous and have no life. at least you have friends to hang out with and hobbies to get your mind off of other things. listen to your music when things let you down.

Just be yourself I was the same way at the beginning of my high school years. I wore black, always listened to crazy music I likes, wore a trench coat kombat boots and this was to a private school I think you can get how hard that is. So just be yourself I never changed for people I changed because I wanted to. But that took a nother 2 years to do.
