Here-To-Help answered Sunday December 28 2003, 6:59 am: Well...that could be one of many things...because that's happened to me a million times before with the guys I liked who found out...even though some reacted differently.
1)He could like you back and is nervous about a relationship (especially about a crush who likes him back)
2)If you guys were friends before he may be scared that you two going out would only ruin your "friend relationship" if you end up breaking up with him
3)He could be afraid that your going to make a move on him and act weird around him yourself...and think of him differently then he thought you did.
4) He could like somebody else (or have a girlfriend)
5) He could've just ended a long/serious relationship
Like I said...there could be many things, but maybe you should just confront him and see how he acts...but if he acts weird around you then just let the situation cool down a little and then try again. He's probably just scared...all boys are (some just don't show it).
If you are too shy to confront him, ask one of your friends to, or have one of his friends do it...or write a note and give it to him or put it in his locker.
Hope I helped...
p.s. sometimes I act the same way if I find out that a guy likes me...so it's perfectly normal...but you only live once so go for it and ask him out if that's what you want to do. The worst he can say is no ( its not like he's going to humiliate you in front of everybody just for asking him). [ Here-To-Help's advice column | Ask Here-To-Help A Question ]
Lizzy answered Sunday December 28 2003, 2:50 am: All right hon, if he is ignoring you, that means one thing. It affected him! If it affected him that means that he either has the same feelings for you but is scared or he doesn't want to ruin your friendship. If he didn't like you at all he'd spit in your face and just mock you so this does not necessesarily have to be a bad sign. Good Luck hon!

OneMan answered Friday December 26 2003, 9:39 pm: I don't know. That could be a number of things. First, it may be that your telling him this has made him uncomfortabel and he doesn't know how to react to you now. He may be afraid of what move to make next and instead of telling you this, is distancing himself until he can figure it out. It may also be that he may not feel the way you do. As opposed to hurting your feelings by telling you, he may feel that if he just stays away, you'll lose interest and move on. [ OneMan's advice column | Ask OneMan A Question ]
ScaperJess answered Friday December 26 2003, 5:28 pm: Perhaps he doesn't know what to think... He's avoiding you because he feels award he doesn't know how to face you, or what to say... this could be good or bad... it is a common happening so you aren’t alone... anyways best thing you can do is give him time to adjust then try and act as if you never said anything, you might come to find he likes you back and if he doesn't at least your friendship is maintained... shay*shay answered Friday December 26 2003, 4:11 pm: Okay this guy ignores you because after you told him you liked him he doesnt feel comfortable around you. He probably doesnt feel the way you do about him and now hes confused because he thought you two were just friends.
