I need to go out of town for like a week. Is it worse to give my plants tons and tons of water before I leave, just just give them the normal amount of water and let them wilt some when they run out and hope I can bring them back to life when I'm back?
ScaperJess answered Thursday December 25 2003, 6:23 pm: If you water too much the roots will rot and you will have one dead plant... you wont be gone too long give them there normal water then let it be, just pick up the normal watering when you get back... plants have evolved to survive a drought better than a monsoon in a pot were there is no drainage rather it sits in the water... yeah so just give them there normal supply and they will survive... MichiruKaiou answered Thursday December 25 2003, 11:25 am: If you give them too much water, they'll die. You can't overwater plants! Plants also don't just just like that, I forgot to water my plants for 2 weeks and they're still blooming right now! So just water then regularly, or actually, have a friend to the watering for you while you're gone! [ MichiruKaiou's advice column | Ask MichiruKaiou A Question ]
