every year our school's 7th graders throw a formal dance for the 8th graders. i am totally against going because i hate dresses and can't dance. all of my friends that were totally against it are suddenly going and renting a limo and everything. they are even having a sleepover and a whole day to get ready for it. i don't want to go but they are pressuring me so much to go. what should i do??? the guy i really like will be there but i am 100% against stuff like this. should i give in? can you give me some tips on how to stay strong under pressure?? thanks...i'll rate high!

I have recently been asked to french kiss Barry* by my friend Sara* and i hav been thinkin about it for about aweek now and i told sara that i would kiss him but she keeps forgetting.today i said that iwant a boyf for the hugs and the holdin hands but sara said that i might not get that with barry if she asks him to go out with me. den she says that she knows someone who i would get that kind of love from and den i said who and she wont tell me coz he doesnt want me to know and dat if she told me then i wouldnt kiss him anyway.But i said how will i know unless i know who it is? so now im having 2nd touts about barry coz i only like him a little bit plus if ders someone out der wo iknow likes me for sure then i have to no before i go kissin ...

Wants more than friendship?

I'm a 13/f and my friend is a 13/m. And lately I've been thinking he wants more than friendship. For awhile I've noticed that he has been staring at my boobs. Not just once, but like between 15-25 times a day. We are in all the same classes and out the corner of my eye, I see him ALWAYS staring at me. Today when he was looking "there" I asked him,if they were nice? I was doing this to see how he would react, thinking he would look away or ask what I was talking about. However, he said that he "loved them"! I'm like so shocked. I asked him why and he said it was because "he's a guy"! OMG. The worst part was that I really enjoy the attention. Hey peeps. I am thinking of becoming a goth. But I have some dilemmas.
1 my mom wont let me be what I wanna be. I know the consequences. I told me mom that I wanted to dye my hair black, and she freaked.
2 I cant get past the metaphores. To goths, gothic sayings may have a meaning but when I hear or see gothic sayings or quotes or whatever, all I see is stuff about blood, guts, and death.
3 Idont know any chain stores that has a lot of gotic clothing and silver jewelry with the gothic sighns.
Help.

advice on talking to people

yeah so in some classes i hang out with these people that i'm not really friends with cause idon't have any of my friends in there.. i'm a really shy person so i don't really talk, just sit there you know.. it's easier if i were with just one person- but i'm not.. i'm with a group of people who are already friends.. i don't wanna like seem annoying/ weird and not want them to like me so that they don't hang out with me.. i'm pretty sure they won't not like me but i just can't get that threw my head... i seem very quiet shy and boring i think and i don't want that.. but NOTHING comes to mind of what to say to them at all!
how can i become friends with these people and how can i talk to themm? can you give me some tips that do...
