Hair straighteners: Cheap and good?

I've been thinking about getting a straightener recently, but I'm not going to be using it every day so I don't want to get something really expensive. Do you know any cheap straighteners ($20-30) that work well? I want a Chi but those are just way too expensive unless I'm going to use it every day. Also, is it easy to burn yourself when straightening? Because I've only straightened my hair twice and my friend did it for me. And I burn myself a lot when I use a curler, but I noticed that the plates in straighteners are kind of centered so it doesn't really touch, but just in case, is it easy to burn yourself?

U.S. Investigative Services

Something was left on my door, like an official piece of cardboard paper. It says it's from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management Federal Investigative Services. The note on it says, "It is necessary that I speak with you regarding an individual who is being considered for a position of trust with the U.S. Government. Your comments regarding this individual's fitness and suitability would be greatly appreciated." It also has the name and phone number of an investigator on it.
Does anyone know what this is about?

17 Magazine

I need something out of this months issue of Seventeen magazine. I had a copy, but I think I threw it away. I had seen on one page where there was a list of maybe four different websites that you can make money doing surveys on. There was one that said you could make up to $200 for giving your opinion.
Does anyone have this issue on hand?

I have a child with my boyfriend (been together 3 years with an almost 2 year old). I love him, but I am not "in love" with him...like I don't feel deep down and really don't miss him when he's away, and recently have not even been sexually attracted to him. I have been in love with someone else for 8 years and I believe in my heart that one day we will find eachother again...but it could be a very long time from now. Recently I have decided that I am ready to expand my family (have another baby) and settle down, purchase a home. My boyfriend wants to move to alaska and buy a home together and have another child. I just don't know if I should wait for my true love, or pursue my other dreams with the man I already have...like ...

I'm 17, female, about 5'6" and 110 pounds.
I hardly ever have an appetite and I'm rarely hungry.
I can't sit down and eat a meal, so I usually have one to three snacks a day.
I know it's really unhealthy for me, so is there anything I can do?

Hi. Ok, here is the problem. I want to dress more cute than I have been. I wear t-shirts and jeans, mostly, but I'm getting rid of all my t-shirts soon. I like clothes, I just don't care what is in and what is out. We don't have money for things like abercrombie and fitch, or aeropostle. Usually, my mom goes to thrift stores. I do have some cute shirts. I just don't know how to put outfits together to make them cute. Thanks for answering!

I'm 17, and I have recently moved out and into my boyfriends house. This decision is for personal matters, so I would appreciate not discussing this in the answer. We live with his mother and his two sisters. His mother says that she wants no financial help from me, just help around the house, so that's good, but I need to get as much money as possible. I'm going to start school again next month so I won't be able to work full-time. I've only had one job, which is my current job, but they only work me 10 hours a week at a rate of $7.25 an hour. It is definitely not enough for me to buy my own things (clothes, personals, school supplies, etc.) and save money up so my boyfriend and I can get an apartment, me to get a car and car/medical insur...

Finding Makeup

Can anyone tell me what shades of eyeshadow, blush, lipgloss/lipstick, mascara, lip liner and eye liner look good on me?
I know how to APPLY makeup, I just do not know what shades look good on me. I am fairskinned, with blond hair and blue eyes. I have full lips, and I wear glasses. My eyes are about average, and I always choose to accentuate my lips, so if using eyeliner would accentuate my eyes as well, then I won't bother with it.
I have searched all over the internet for information on how to properly find your shades, but none of it helped! Thank you soooo much!!

Theres a boy i've liked since forever, and well we started to text, but we lost contact of each other becuase i found out i was a hit and quit ( i found out and left before anything happened) and i was shocked that a guy like him can actually break my heart after telling him that i liked him for a while, and im wondering if i was just some one he tells his firends that he got some some action, for he can look good. i really wonder if he liked me back does anyone know how you can find out if someone really liked you? does he still me if he talking to another girl? does anyone have advicce on what to do and how to react around him?

yeah yeah i know thatt it IS PRETTY SELF EXPLANATORY.
they test it on the animal and see if there is any side effect or whatever reactions to the make up.
but why is it a BAD THING!? this girl said she would rather not get makeup that IS etsted on animals.... WTH?
isnt it a good thing that they test it on animals so you know if it can harm you!? AS A PERSON!??
someone give me a better explanation.
p.s. yes i know it sucks for the animal but im talking on behalf of my knowledge on that term.

Split ends

Ok, well i straighten my hair everyday because if i don't then it will be poofy and thick and really ugly. But since i straighten my hair everyday it breaks off and gets split ends. Is there anything i can do or use that will make my hair not frizzy from all the breakage from the straightner? Not using the straightner is not an option. Thanks!
