self esteem issues =\
well im 14 and im not like...ugly actually ppl think im pretty and stuff but thats with make up on...well sometimez it comes off and its just hard to look cute...for me...and lately ive been so unhappy with myself...EVERY gurl i see i want to be..il b like well if i could have her lips id be pretty...i just want like certain features of EVERYONE im so jealous it makes me not have a good time...i just stare @ them..i want ot be them....or i want just ther hair or watever...im so unhappy....wat can i do to stop doing this..and if ur gonna say o think of the good things of urself...i dnt have ne good things..i MAKE them look good...my skin- has freckles and zits...i use make up...my hair...frizzy and wavy-i IRON it with a clothw iron...just everything is fake it seems like...and im stil not that pretty...wat can i do? wats wrong with me?? =(

im 14 and Im going through the same stage. I can look pretty in certain lights (such as the dark lol) and sometimes i feel really bad about myself.
Sometimes while putting make-up on for school Im like 'if my lips were like hers i could get away with this lip gloss, if my face wasnt so freckly, uneven and blotchy i could look fresher with no foundation on'. Sometimes it gets really bad and I just want to pack it all in and rip my face off even though i have been described 'pretty'and 'fit' before. I iron my hair an i use MatteMousse foundation (tho im sure its too orange for me)and by the end of the day i look a mess.
But just think, the half-decent girls like yOu and me are the ones who get the best boys later in life because we're sensitive and want to put things right. Think of yourself as a bud waiting to blossom (gee im goin all spiritual now lol)

I'm sure you're not ugly :) Everybody's pretty in their own way (ok, that kinda sounds stupid but whatever). Just make sure that you're eating healthy, and take good care of your body. Don't iron your hair (unless it's a special occaison), wash it with a good shampoo and do lots of beauty treatments, like mashing half an avocado and applying it to your wet hair (leave in for 20 minutes, and rinse well.) or egg yolk masks (separate yolk from egg white, put egg white on face, leave on for 20 minutes, rinse, and same for the yolk) and apply makeup if it gives you confidence, but don't overdose. Everybody goes through this stage where they feel like there's so many things wrong with them but just take good care of your body and be happy with who your are! And you're only 14, I'm sure you'll grow into a beautiful young woman :)

OK wen u see a pretty girl.. shes probably got lots of make up on too! and she most likely does her hair and dolls herself up to look good too. u should totally not be insecure about ur zits.. everyone gets them!! and all girls use cover up on them too. and freckles can be so cute they make u original and not like everyone else but in a good way. and as for your hair , trust me TONS of girls straighten it. i know i do. good luck and really think about this. i really hope i helped.

ur just very insecure...sry to say that... there is nothing rong w/ ironing ur hair...but sometimes...if u use make up...doin things so that it goes well w/ ur natural hair... go buy products to clear up ur face... clearisil works REALLY well... as for ur freckles ...they are there for life...learn to love them... be comfortable in your owm skin....and and i wud LOVE to have frizzy wavey hair... that is honestly my favorite type of hair...i no ppl who wud kill to have freckles....so wen u wake up in the morning ...as cheesy as this may sound complement your self... and drink lots of water...ur supposed to drink at least 8 glasses a day ... to do three.... thats wut i did...in three weeks my skin was clear... but i dont no how long it wud take you b/c ive neva seen u b4. but its natural to be insecure at 14...dont worry..everyone has there insecurities.

Girl, for real...everyone feels that way. You are not ugly. You are deep...unlike a lot of other girls out there...
Trust me, I think the same way. I mean, I don't think I'm UGLY...but I don't think of myself as "hot" or whatever...I have a "cute" face I guess and I hate it too. I want to look a little older...I hate my thick hair even though people say they like it...I have brown eyes while all these beautiful girls with hazel, blue, and green eyes and wonderful straight hair prance around me...
Trust me we all feel like this at one point, jealousy is normal...it's not always good...but it's normal. It's part of human nature to just want to be liked. I mean, it's not bad at all to want to be liked and noticed...and to be attractive...but you seriously have to look inside yourself like all these other advicenators are saying too...and find the good in you.
I know you feel like there's nothing good to you now...but let me ask you this...are you NICE to people? If the answer is yes...then there's all the good you need right there...
Work with that and make some friends who like you for you...
PLease don't be intimidated by the people walking around you. I've been like that all my life and it got me nowhere so far...
You don't need luck which is why I'm not wishing you any...because you will do just fine. =)

I know exactly how your'e feeling hunni. Without make-up I look like a friggin freak on showcase! :P lol But seriously, don't worry hun. I KNOW for a fact you have good things...everybody does. And this sounds cheesy but everyone is beautiful, in one way or another. When you go out with your friends, just try and have fun and not worry about what the other girls are wearing, or how their hair looks, or whatever. It doesn't matter. What matters is you. But to make me feel better about myself since I have lo self-estteeem issues sometimes too, I get my nails done. Or ...this might not be "your" thing but I love wearing thongs. They make me feel pretty. If you need any other help, just IM me. :D

nothing is wrong with you. almost every girl goes through that. i am still kinda going through it i mean everytime i see a pretty girl i wanna be her but i know i cant. just think your true friend like you for who you are. you dont have to try to be pretty for your true friends to like you. they will like you for who you are.

lol i juss kinda answered a low self esteem question so u can go to my column and read what i said but hun u gotta except youself for who u r and what u look like cuz ur not gonna change much, i mean u might over the years but ur still gonna be same ol u! it takes sooo much to get me ready too, i have frizzy wavy hair and i flat iron it everyday and its a pain but its what u have to go in todays society to be "pretty"....but ur prolly beautiful the way you are, find what u like about urself and only think of those things...like maybe ur lips or ur nose or one of ur features!!! when u think ur beatiful you are =D

What you're going through is normal. You're still young and your body is still changing, just be patient and you will grow into a beautiful young woman. Always remember that if you are beautiful on the inside, that inner beauty will shine through and over shadow any minor flaws that you may have.
