I am under alot of pressure to find what career I want the thing is I am only 14 and I know what I want to become it's that it isn't realistic (well that's what people tell me). And if I don't figure out soon I may be living in my mom's house the rest of my life. HELP!
Hun you are only 14 don't worry about it so much. College kids change their majors all the time. For the matter of what you want to be being "unrealistic" to other people, forget them because you can do anything you set your mind to. Just don't stress you'll make it out just like most other 14 y/o kids that had no idea what they wanted to be.
OK well i have just caught the eye of this really cute guy who works at the supermarket near my house. I mean he is so cute I can't stope smiling when I see him. *blush*
But idk how to talk to him. I have a really low self esteem. I'm 5'0" and 169 pounds....... a bit much for a girl my hieght..... so i am always worried that a guy is only looking at my face and not me..... also i am just to shy to talk to him. so any ideas on how i can break the ice?
the #1 best thing you can do is CARRY YOURSELF WITH CONFIDENCE. believe it or not, guys can tell when you don't believe in yourself, and that is not attractive. next time you go to the supermarket justt flash a smile and say hey. or strike up a conversation about the store.

well if you show them the REAL you, then you're not being fake. and if they think you're fake then they aren't worth your time. if you feel strongly about something, voice your opinion. :) the people that care about you will listen, and the people that don't.. just forget about them.
okay so my winter formal is saturday and i've been tanning so i wouldn't be as white as I was. i went for 12 minutes and my back got pretty burnt, not too bad but it's pretty pink. My dress is an open back so i was wondering what things i could put on it to make the redness go down? i'm putting herbal-aloe gel stuff on it now but is there anything else?

Aloe is probably your best bet. The tanning place I go to has special creams for tanning bed burns, so you might ask them about that. Also try running your back under cold water for a minute or so because that can reduce irritation and swelling.
ok so i just started playing softball last year. I'm not bad at all. The bad part is that my dad thinks i suck because he NEVER pays attention to me when i practice and i think hes only gone to 3 of my games. 4 tops. but then again, he goes to every single one of my little brothers games,he helps him practice ALL the time, and he lets my little brother pitch. One of the reasons why i like softball so much is because last year i was one of the best pitcher in my league. now that im in an older league, i have to pitch different but im still pitching really accurate and fast. My dad thinks im horrible and pitching and thinks i have NO CLUE what im doing because im not doing it like a stupid pitching video is telling me to do. I cant convince him that everyone has their own style. how can i have him realize that im actually really good and that i really want to pitch again??
yeah like really late on this but i had to answer it because you sound alot like me, only my parents arent like that.
anyway, ive been pitching for one and a half years, and i know for a fact that EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN STYLE OF PITCHING. Ive been told that I'm like the best pitcher in my 14u league by many umpires and even opposing coaches, and i pitch differently than alot of pitchers, but its the way i am.
Those stupid videos are always different, because they are made by different coaches. every coach is different and every pitcher is different. i had a pitching coach just like your dad once that made me pitch like the videos etc and i got hurt 3 times and almost tore my rotator cup. yeah he went broke because he got so many people hurt and they could never pitch again. im a dropball pitcher so my motion is different from the videos with their little plastic robot pitchers, as i like to call them :] videos are for people that dont want to teach someone how to pitch.
i reccommend not letting your dad change your style and just go with what is natural. he seems kind of sexist to me, because he favors your brother and such. but make him come to your games and watch you and see how good you do. go online and find sites that show a bunch of different pitching mechanics and do some reasearch on some pitching coaches in your area that maybe you could talk to your dad about going to see, maybe offer to pay for it. its never much, only like 30 bucks a week, TOPS, and you could take once a month or something. go to camps and take your dad and make THEM explain to him. just dont take this insulting off of him, you dont deserve it
does anybody know about the anderson rockettech reloaded fastpitch softball bat.. do you no where its legal and illegal.. like i just play 14U softball but im thinkin about gettin one of those bats im prolly gonna use it thru highschool so i just wanna make sure that its like legal and everything... i live in Charlotte NC if that makes a difference.. i no its illegal in ASA-im not sure what that is but ya
If it is illegal in ASA than its probably illegal in most leagues you will play in. ASA is Amateur Softball Association and highschools play by alot of those rules too. I have a Mayhem bat that I really like and Miken bats are really good too.

Well this is a toughie. Guys can be very confusing can't they? He says you need someone nice happy and cool, so maybe he doesn't think he's good enough for you. Maybe he really likes you as a friend but just isn't attracted to you in a romantic way, but maybe a fun flirty friends with benefits way. I really don't know what he's thinking but in my expeirience just go up to him and straight up tell him you like him and want to be more than friends, but its apparant he doesn't think it would be a good idea, and ask him why he flirts with you all the time if he doesn't have feelings for you. It's never fun to hear someone you like doesn't like you back but sometimes guys say they don't because they think you might reject them, but they honestly do like you. ok so i originally only had an ipod mini
then my brother got his own ipod nano and we plugged it into my computer
somehow i managed to get all the song/playlist that were on my ipod onto his
but now if i want to update only his ipod [like add a song]
it also adds it to mine
same goes if i delete a song

is there anyway to stop this from happening?
Okay so I'm pretty sure than when you dowloaded Itunes, it asked you for a name. The problem probably is that when your adding songs, your just plugging it into your computer, and using your account on Itunes. When you went to download a song onto his, your whole playlist dowloaded onto his because it was your itunes account. Go into different places and see if you can find anything that will say like, "Add new Ipod" so that you can enter his and use his account that way it's not joint. :] And I know that was all kind of confusing, but I hope I helped somewhat. And I think that's what your problem may be..

Sometimes they just lose control and they get stressed and it just happens. It's complicated but yeah it does make people mad when questions like that get asked because its kind of rude & stuff. It's hard to judge people when you have never been in their shoes. It's hard to control it when you have a weight problem. It takes alot of control and willpower.

okay. im 14... i dont see how people geet fat... i mean theres alot a big people in this world always complaining about their weight..&& ive never been fat before..im like really skinny...and i eat alot...when i see that im gaining a few pounds i cut down a little..&& it helps me keep my figure...alot of people even think im anorexic but im not..trust me.....what i dont get is why is it a really big person all like look at me im fat..i dont fit in&& low self exsteem and stuff...when really they can control that fat of theirs...unless someones making you eat alot...if you really want to be skinny...work for it you fat cows...just kidding...just saying...if you really want to be skinny WORK...and if you think you dont fit in cause you're different(fat )..you are different..cause you take up more space so get over it seriously..im tired of listening to them fat people...most people who are fat are fat because theyre 'GREEDY'

I'm just going to say whatever I feel on this topic regardless of the rating I get.
Mmkay. To start, some people have diseases in their glands, diabetes, etc that cause them to gain weight,, nothing they can do about it. These 'fat people' dont want to look the way they do. Nobody likes looking like that. And I speak from expierience when I say, losing weight is hard. I have been dieting and excersising this summer to loose weight, and it is harder than you skinny girls with fast motabolism think. You guys can just loose the weight, no problem. Others have to work. You are telling them to work, yet you can eat whatever you want for the most part ? Seems wrong for you to judge on somthing like that. Saying that it is easy to lose weight and they are greedy etc, when you have never had to WORK to look the way youu do. Hmm? Think about it. I have been sucessful in my attempts to slim down and it shows. I'm not a bone rack, and i wouldnt WANT to be a bone rack either. I play sports, I have an athletic, muscular body, big boned, large framed, with hardly any fat anymore. And I like it that way. :] Mkay so its really not easy to lose weight. Don't judge a situation you have never been in. I don't like it when skinny girls make fun of bigger girls because they have never been in a situation like that.

I'm 13/f and I live in Texas. My mom is starting to make me use my own money to buy clothes and cosmetics. The problem is, I have no way to make enough money. My mom says I could do work around the house, but she pays me SO little! Say, $1 to do the dishes and 50 cents to water the plants outside. I used to get an allowence but ever since my parents divorce, money is tight (my dad actually makes a lot of money but he's kind of selfish and will no longer give my mom the money to give me an allowence) so I don't get it anymore. I have tried babysitting by passing oout flyers, but no one even called me; my mom says I'm too young. What should I do??? I REALLY need to find a way to earn some money...the only way I get it now is when my grandparents give me an extra $5 bill sometimes when I visit(AFTER my mom tries to persuade them not to!)HELP!!!
You aren't too young to babysit. You just don't know how to get the word out. People dont want to leave their children with some random person they find on a flyer they want to leave their children with someone they know. If you know some people with younger children, ask the mom&dad if they would like a night to themselves and offer to babysit. Also ask around your neighborhood if anyone needs any odd jobs done. Ask some old couples if they want their house cleaned or fence painted or somthing. About the makeup, th3skyisfalling needs to chill out for one thing. You don't NEED makeup but maybe you want to look nice :) go to the local pharmacy/drug store and i bet you could find eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, and lipgloss for under 15 dollars. But don't decide "I NEED NEW LIPGLOSS EVERY WEEK!" The makeup you buy should last you quite awhile, it won't be the end of the world to use it for a month, maybe two, until you flat run out of it. Now for the clothes, I'm pretty sure anyone can look nice without spending a fortune. Hollister, Abercrombie, & American Eagle = EXPENSIVE! Try to avoid shopping there regularly or you only come out with like, one t-shirt and a bracelet :]. Try thrift stores, try and create interesting, pretty outfits. Thrifting is actually very fun. Spend the money wisely. Goodluckk.

any ideas?
I babysit about four 6 yr old boys and quite a few 8 yr old girls (I babysit for alot of families!) so I can help :]
Entertainment: For the girls, They love dressing up and feeling glamourous. Give them makeovers, play some goofy dress-up and I've also found my charges like taking goofy pictures. So if you have maybe a digital camera bring it, you dont even have to keep the pictures, just delete them. Or you could print 'em out and give the pics to their parents :] Also, barbies sometimes works with that age group, disney things, movies, making bracelets or necklaces, anything. Just be creative. 8 yr olds arent that pick about that kind of thing. Especially if their sweeties :] For entertaining the boy, its a bit more tricky because they change their minds soo often. G.I. Joes, playing "Army", playing anything having to do with the Army, Air Force, Police, Fireman, things like that. They really like playing pretend. Water guns=the best for this age! Maybe go to a dollar store and buy a few cheap ones, that you can re-use for other babysitting jobs. But make sure their parents are OK with the whole "guns" concept before you do! For both of them playing together, Hide n Seek, Tag (TV, Freeze.. etc) maybe playing in the sprinklers or going to a neighborhood pool. The game I play with my charges they seem to like.. "Tickle Monster" I chase after them and when I catch them I tickle them :] Haha.
Cooking: Their parents will appreciate it if you try to make them eat relativly healthy, but still yummy. Make sure there is no food allergies though! Wouldn't want an allergic reaction! Here's a few meal ideas..
Breakfast= Toast with jam and some cereal (Lucky Charms, Trix, anything bright colored they may have) or like, Eggo waffles :] If you feel comfortable cooking, scrambled eggs usually go over well. Biscuits too.
Lunch= "Ants on a Log" (Raisins and peanut butter on a stick of celery), cheese sticks, cut up apples, PB&J Sandwiches, again, if you want to cook, perhaps Chicken Nuggets or pizza rolls. Spagetty-O's are usually a favorite, if they are at hand. Just mix it up for a good, big meal to last them through all their activitys until dinner.
So there's some ideas for you, as many as I could think of. It's good to get some ideas in case the boy and girl don't have anything to do.

My friend is mad at me. We are both thirteen. And we are both girls. She has been calling me names. I keep telling her that she's acting like a five-year-old. And every time I email her she keeps saying I'm acting dumb and weird... and up until now she's stopped talking to me. What should I do?
The girl that said you should just ditch her is wrong. I don't know exactly what happend but just call her and say "I'm sorry for everything that happend and I really want to be friends again I miss us getting along." That normally helps. Things may be a little shaky as your building your friendship back up but at least your not fighting. However, if she refuses to accept your apology, theres not alot you can do but wait for her to cool off. But don't just up and ditch her if you can try and work things out. :]

During the first few weeks of summer me and my friends went out and drank for a couple of nights. I can drink alot because I have a high tolerance and I never get hangovers. But throughout the entire week that we were doing this, I had a headache. It wasn't a bad one, but no matter how much medicene I took, it just didn't go away. It never stopped untill I finally stopped drinking for the week. Could it have been an ongoing hangover since we did it every night? Or was it related to something else? thanks.
Your body may have been able to handle all the alcohol in the past, but chances are it wasn't used to all this alcohol regularly. Ease up a bit and don't drink every night. Your body isn't used to having beer that regularly. :]

Ok....i know im only 13 but i want to wear a thong but im afraid my mom will get mad at me for asking should i just buy one and hide it?
i feel hot around guys if i wear a low cut shirt or something that guys like they always think i dress the perfect way becasue half the time they look down my shirt and they like that but one day they asked me if i wore a thong i said no.

Tell her you want one because you dont want panty lines when you wear a skirt. DO NOT SAY YOU WANT ONE TO IMPRESS BOYS! Because then she will get even more protective and not let you date because she will get paranoid that this boy will SEE this thong. Say you want it for panty lines. :] If that doesn't work, buy a couple and wear them and wash them when she's not home ;] haha.
