Question Posted Saturday September 16 2006, 1:10 pm

I have AOL and would like to CLEAR the My History dropdown. I have tried History Sweep and it does not work. Does anything work?

I found that AOL does let you Clear the My History dropdown. Go to Edit Clear Toolbar History or Ctrl+H

And it works.

Hi,

To delete your history which includes your temporary files as well as cookies is a very simple process.

First Click on Settings at the top of your AOL screen.

Next click on Preferences, after you done with it click on Toolbar and Sounds and the final step is to click on the "Clear History Trail Now" tab.

In order to delete your cookies you have to click on Settings at the top of your AOL screen.

Next you have to click on preferences, then you click on internet settings and the final step is to click on Under Temporary Internet Files click on the "Delete Cookies" Tab.

Clear your footprints!

Assuming you have the latest version of AOL (or any version that gives you this option.)

First hit settings.

When the menu pops up, find Internet [Web] Options.

Change the tab of the new window that pops up to "clear my footprints."

Then select the other "clear my footprints" button.

Click "yes" in the new window and tada!

Your history drop down should be cleared out.

Hit Ctrl H
It will say, "this will delete all the areas you have visited, do you want to continue?" or somthing like that and you will click yes.
